True. But being "comfortable" isn't really happiness, is it? There are poor, ugly people who are much happier than rich, beautiful people.
To somewhat paraphrase what I said at the end of my post #54... My bottom line is still that if fate has decreed that I'm gonna be miserable either way, then I'd still rather be rich, beautiful and miserable than ugly, poor and miserable any day. It's just an easier miserable.

It seems easier in the reality you create for yourself. Most people think like you. However, it is possible to be rich and beautiful and be more miserable than a poor, ugly person. Depends on the reality you create for yourself...

Sure, but overall, I think there are proportionately more happy rich people than poor people.
And the rich, having less stress and better diets, live longer.

That may be so, but they're just prolonging their misery.

I'd rather be content than comfortable.

I'll never be rich unless everyone in the family tree between me and Donald Trump suddenly pops their clogs or I win the lottery, and to be honest I don't think I'd want to be. I'd be happy to have enough money to pay my bills and have fun without having to worry about whether I'd have enough money for the future.

Getting back on topic, quite a few very good-looking people have been picked on and bullied or are socially awkward for a variety of reasons, so while they might want to be friendly, they're just not very good at opening up and being witty or making small talk.

I didn't call you a troll, nor did I insult you, I just wondered why you thought bitching about other people's posts was any less superficial and pointless than the posts you were bitching about. I'm sorry you felt it necessary to insult me, but I too call it like it is sometimes. Deal.
