Multiple people witnessed absentee ballot signatures in NC-09--hardest proof yet of fraud

"...in absentee ballots on the far eastern end of the district, which was reconfigured to stretch from south Charlotte all the way to Fayetteville. There have been claims of out-and-out criminal conduct—like ballots being collected before being completed, and in some cases altered from votes for McCready to votes for Harris.

Additionally, a number of analysts have found suspicious anomalies in absentee ballots from the two most rural counties in the district, Bladen and Robeson. Not only were there a large number of unreturned ballots, but Harris reportedly won almost two-thirds of absentee ballots in Bladen County—a pattern not repeated elsewhere in the district.

Well, if there was any doubt that there was something fishy in this election, it was erased today. There are multiple reports that some of the same people witnessed multiple signings of absentee ballots.

While North Carolina law allows people to witness multiple absentee ballots, just eight people witnessing 132 ballots is curious at best. Even more curious, many of the same people witnessed ballots together.

What bumps this beyond “curious” is that some of the witnesses appear to be relatives of Leslie McCrae Dowless, the “independent contractor” for Harris’ top campaign consultant.

Dowless is suspected of masterminding the effort to illegally collect absentee ballots. According to Gerry Cohen, a former general counsel for the state legislature, many of these ballots arrived in Raleigh in clumps. Combined with the multiple claims that ballots were collected before they were sealed, Cohen believes that there was definitely fraud here."

There’s no winning an argument of this sh*t. Up is down, black is white....
When republicans imagine 3million illegals voting for Hillary or dead people voting or one person voting in multiple states, it’s election fraud but when a Republican is caught red-handed stealing ballots or ballot stuffing, it’s fake news.

Conservatives are a rotten bunch of liars, cheats and thieves.

Republicans... The REAL masters of FRAUD and RIGGING THE SYSTEM:

Mark Harris, Repub who fraudulently "won" in NC District 9, will not go to Congress

Democrats Won't Seat A North Carolina Republican Amid Election Fraud | HuffPost

Meanwhile:

Iowa county elects its first black woman, so GOP decides it should change the whole electoral system
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/20...-whole-electoral-system?utm_campaign=trending
"Earlier this month, voters in Johnson County, Iowa elected Democrat Royceann Porter to the Board of Supervisors, making her the first African-American supervisor in the county’s history. Now, Republicans are making noise about wanting to remake the entire system, changing from at-large elections (which is how nearly every Iowa county does it) to district-based contests."

The 200-Year History of Using Voter Fraud Fears to Block Access to the Ballot – Mother Jones

"It seemed inevitable after evidence of voting irregularities appeared in the contested race in North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District: Republicans used the problems to push for tighter voting laws last month.

Voting restrictions in the name of fraud prevention have been at the forefront of Donald Trump’s [occupancy] ever since he claimed in the wake of his election that millions of fraudulent votes had been cast against him and he created a commission to investigate voter fraud.

(Never mind that the commission failed to document any evidence of widespread fraud,

or that North Carolina’s issues appeared to stem from impropriety on the part of the Republican candidate’s campaign, not voters.)

But raising fears of fraud in order to make it harder for people—particularly people fitting certain demographic profiles—to vote didn’t start with this administration, or even in the past 100 years.

As Harvard University historian Alexander Keyssar lays out in his 2000 book, The Right to Vote: The Contested History of Democracy in the United States, the tactic dates back to the early decades of the 19th century.

The most pervasive fraud that was actually occurring in the late 19th century was in the South, where African Americans were denied the right to vote through vigilante violence and ballot manipulation.

The unfolding scandal in North Carolina, where it appears African American voters were the victims, “certainly fits with the long tradition with trying to suppress the black vote in the South,” Keyssar tells Mother Jones."

There is a concerted ongoing effort by Republicans to disenfranchise the majority to secure power for the minority. The Republicans are ruthless and devious. They are employing tactics of former dictatorships and autocracies. This could be the final blow to democracy. This is how they hold power in spite holding policies that most America is against.

The Trump administration is adding a citizenship question to the Census. Here’s why that’s bad for Democrats.

The change carries potentially major political ramifications — most notably for Republicans’ ability to gerrymander Democrats into the minority for years to come.

Federal Judge Obliterates Trump’s Census Shenanigans and Dares the Supreme Court to Reverse Him

The Trump administration’s addition of a citizenship question to the 2020 census was illegal, U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman ruled on Tuesday in a sprawling, meticulous 277-page opinion. Furman’s decision blocking the question from the census is a painstaking deconstruction of the Trump administration’s bad-faith argument. It is also a challenge to the Supreme Court which says, in essence: You cannot reverse my ruling without looking like hypocritical suckers.

Head goblin in charge Mitch McConnell is aghast! What?? A bill that makes it EASIER to vote??

Making it easier to vote is a Democratic 'power grab,' GOP leader McConnell sneers

"Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell really doesn’t like efforts to make voting easier. As House Democrats push massive government reform and protection of voting rights, McConnell is outraged, describing it as a “power grab.” Because power is all McConnell knows or cares about, and because the idea of making it easier to vote threatens all he holds dear.

“This is the Democrat plan to restore democracy,” McConnell sneered. Well, you gobshite, it’s a very small part intended to 1.) make it easier for federal workers to cast their ballots and 2.) allow federal workers to help smooth the entire voting process for everyone else in their communities. Only someone terrified of democracy would see this as a dangerous or frightening idea."

MEANWHILE:

Kentucky leads the nation in disenfranchising black voters, with 1 in 4 not eligible to vote

Texas Republicans Hit With Another Lawsuit Over 'Unfounded Voter Purge' | HuffPost

"Texas Republican leaders face a new federal lawsuit over their attempt to question the voting rights of nearly 100,000 people, this one claiming they personally conspired to suppress the votes of naturalized citizens and racial minorities.

A lawsuit filed early Saturday morning in U.S. district court in Corpus Christi by the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Educational Fund accused several top Texas Republicans of conspiring to suppress suffrage rights “by coordinating an unfounded voter purge campaign with threats of criminal prosecution aimed at naturalized citizen voters.”

The complaint targets the state’s top GOP officials ― Gov. Greg Abbott, Secretary of State David Whitley and Attorney General Ken Paxton ― and seeks damages if a judge finds that their alleged conspiracy violates the Voting Rights Act.

The lawsuit, brought on behalf of several Texas voters and three organizations that run voter registration projects, is the latest in a string of legal challenges seeking to overturn a controversial voter probe that Republican leaders cite as evidence of voter fraud, but critics deride as a thinly veiled attempt to suppress the vote of naturalized citizens, who are overwhelmingly of Latin American or Asian birth.

“It’s become clear as the purge effort has unraveled over the course of a week and the state officials have refused to withdraw the purge list that their real intentions are not related to maintaining the integrity of the voter rolls,” MALDEF attorney Nina Perales told HuffPost, “but instead are to take eligible voters off the rolls and intimidate naturalized citizens from voting.”"

Flimflam thank you m'am:

...or the continuing story of how North Carolina Republicans illegally RIGGED a House race (allegedly) and are NOW trying to block a new election by obstructing the NC board charged with INVESTIGATING the fraud (alleged).

" a consultant hired by the Harris campaign, McCrae Dowless of Bladen County, [stands accused of] of illegally tampering with absentee ballots that he collected from voters.

Harris—who has acknowledged hiring Dowless—won 61 percent of Bladen County’s mail-in ballots, even though just 19 percent of those mail-in ballots came from registered Republican voters.

Dowless stands accused of not submitting absentee ballots that may have been marked for McCready, while filling out some ballots for Harris without voters’ consent.
In a razor-thin election, this may have changed the outcome of the race.

Dowless, a convicted felon, has also drawn scrutiny for his handling of absentee ballots in previous elections dating back to 2010.
North Carolina officials asked the Justice Department in January 2018 to investigate Dowless for absentee ballot fraud alleged to have occurred in 2016.

North Carolina Republican Party Executive Director Dallas Woodhouse told the Raleigh News & Observer that the GOP members would resist calls for a new election. “Our team are confident that our nominees…will come to the only reasonable conclusion, that is (the) race should be certified because Dr. Harris won more legal votes and we believe no evidence can possibly show otherwise,” he said"

... and that, ladies and gentlemen, is yet ANOTHER example of how Republicans "win" elections with FEWER VOTES.

Texas Secretary Of State Refuses To Admit Mistakes In Probe Of Suspected Noncitizens | HuffPost

"The state’s top election official on Thursday refused to say his office erred when it publicized an inaccurate list of 95,000 suspected noncitizens on the state’s voter rolls and sent the names to the attorney general for potential prosecution.

In his first comments since setting off a firestorm that has resulted in three federal lawsuits, Texas Secretary of State David Whitley (R) downplayed concerns that his office used unverified data to stir up fears of voter fraud.

“We’re following state law and federal law in this procedure,” Whitley said, speaking at a confirmation hearing before a Texas Senate committee.

But under questioning from Democratic lawmakers, Whitley struggled to explain why, in a press release two weeks ago, his office said 95,000 noncitizens could be on the voter rolls even though that data hadn’t been verified with local election officials."

Right winged Lies and Fraud... the NEW JIM CROW:

Texas GOP's latest voter suppression scheme collapsing as architect shows his partisan hack stripes

"The only way that Republicans can win elections now is by cheating, and after their walloping in November, their schemes have only gotten more desperate. The calls of "voter fraud" have long been a way to intimidate and disenfranchise voters, and what's happening right now in Texas is a perfect example of how this bureaucratic terror continues to be used (and fall apart under scrutiny) by endangered Republicans.

It was an obviously outrageous claim and attempt to disenfranchise a huge swath of voters. It also provided fuel to GOP conspiracy theorists and bad-faith actors. Donald Trump blasted it out on Twitter as a justification for his endless conspiracy theories. That was half the point — to get a massive number in the national news to further push the false and dangerous narrative.

Since then, lawsuits have been launched against Whitley and the number has been dropping like the value of a Trump casino. Headlines over the last week have shown lawmakers and election officials hacking away at the number with ease, without even yet diving deep into the research."

And in this article, how REPUBLICANS CHEAT TO WIN:

How an April election for the Wisconsin Supreme Court could undo extreme Republican gerrymandering

"The AP's Scott Bauer has a good overview of an important but underappreciated election that's coming up on April 2: the open-seat battle for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

The race is officially nonpartisan but the battle lines are clear, with progressives supporting Lisa Neubauer, the chief judge of the state Court of Appeals, and conservatives backing Brian Hagedorn, a fellow appeals court judge who's recently come under fire for blog posts he once wrote saying that legalizing same-sex marriage would lead to legalizing bestiality."

The stakes are extremely high, and they go beyond just this one matchup.

... a progressive-dominated state Supreme Court could change the trajectory of Badger State politics in some profound ways. In particular, with Republicans firmly in charge of the legislature but Democrat Tony Evers now holding the governorship, there's a good chance the court will be called on to adjudicate the next round of redistricting following the 2020 census.

That could have the effect of undoing an extreme Republican gerrymander that saw the GOP retain a nearly two-thirds majority in the state Assembly, despite losing every statewide race in 2018."

North Carolina Election Board Finds Evidence Of Significant Fraud To Help GOP Candidate | HuffPost

"The executive director of the North Carolina State Board of Elections revealed Monday that state officials had uncovered a “coordinated” and “unlawful” effort to collect absentee ballots on behalf of a Republican congressional candidate in the November election.

In the first public comments outlining the results of the state’s probe, Strach said investigators had evidence that McCrae Dowless, a political operative working on behalf of the Harris campaign, filled out and mailed in incomplete or blank ballots from both his office and home.

She said Dowless paid people in cash to collect requests for absentee ballots and the ballots themselves.

The state board also has evidence, she said, that Dowless paid people to falsify signatures on absentee ballots indicating that they had witnessed those ballots being filled out (North Carolina requires two witnesses to someone filling out an absentee ballot).

Strach said Dowless took several steps to conceal the fraud. Those measures included using the same color ink as the voter who filled out other parts of the ballot, mailing the ballot from a post office close to the voter and placing the stamps on the envelopes in a certain way not to raise red flags."

Now it's come to light that Dowless, the campaign worker who falsified documents and altered absentee ballots on behalf of Mark Harris, in the FRAUDULENT N.C. election, did THE SAME THING in a 2016 election... according to Mark Harris's OWN SON.

Furthermore, according to his OWN SON, he warned is father, Mark Harris of this and Harris hired Dowless ANYWAY. Which means Harris told a fkng LIE when he claimed he had no prior knowledge of Dowless's potential for FRAUD.

What happened to all those "conservatives" who were on her crying for ID in order to prevent voter fraud?

Because it is never "fraud" as long as the Republican wins

Not that is "the will of the people" and it is "not to be questioned"
It's cases like this one that leads me to give back to them what they put out. When it comes to voter fraud they look the other way at the leading cause and type. They just give a slap on the wrist to elected officials who make racist statements all while calling for their opponents who make questionable comments to be expelled.

I say, "When they go low, kick them (because they will only go lower otherwise)".

PRECISELY. Those fuckers treat INTEGRITY as a weakness and a CHARACTER FLAW.
