Anyone who "quits" his or her position in government for no good reason is NOT SUITED to be President. Period.

How else would she have kept up with Facebook, Twitter, ghost writing her book and unsuccessfully campaigning for freakshow House candidates in New York special elections? And then there were those pesky ethics laws... sheesh. Give the woman a break.

Ohh Vinyl it's FAMILY FIRST. Why can't you socialists understand that? I just want to sit on the porch with my baby and look at Russia. Putin may be rearing his ugly head.

But her status as "Not-Barack-Obama" cancels all that out. You should educate yourself before commenting VB

Virginians elected Republican Robert F. McDonnell the Commonwealth's 71st governor Tuesday, halting a decade of Democratic advances in the critical swing state.

Yeah, I can see that the whole overall improvement in the economic outlook in the past 6 months is a great reason to hate Obamanomics.

He won, she lost.......you need to move on.......

That comment was about qualifications. If people are going to attack Palin on whether she was qualified then I'm going to relay the facts. She was qualified for the Vice Presidency, Obama had no executive experience and used cult of personality to win the Presidency.

And from American Gangster: "Quitting while you are ahead is not the same as quitting."

I'm sure that Democrats wanted Palin to continue to face unending and unfounded ethics charges, have her good record in the state completely eroded since putting herself out on the national stage, but she made the tough choice and the right choice to move forward. As a Real Reformer, (something Obama knows nothing about) Palin made many political enemies in Alaska. It's a thankless job, but she did it - and well. The National run for office made her an even bigger target because she is a Powerful politician. If Palin were what Democrats claim...people wouldn't be attacking her. You don't attack people who are nothing, know nothing and can do nothing...because you don't need to.

Democrats are just mad they couldn't take her down and watch her fall. Palin is so smart, she out smarted them.

Apparently losing the vice presidency, resigning as governor and getting publicly trashed by your daughter's teenage baby daddy means outsmarting them all.

Um... guys. Palin got her ass handed to her....

Let's all just hope that the republican party continues to be so astoundingly stupid as to allow functional morons like Palin and Limbaugh to define their candidates and the direction of their party.

The problem with parties that are anti-intellectual is that they end up being peopled by idiots.

With Palin and Rush at the Helm, I think the Republican party can meet its goal of representing less that 15% of the electorate.

Hillary and Mrs Palin are both driven and each have wombs: that's the extent of their comparability.

Hillary graduated from Wellesley College (where she gave the first student-delivered commencement speech) before completing her studies at Yale Law School. No one doubts her intelligence or passion.

Sarah's academic career is summarized by Wikipedia as follows:
Having won the Miss Wasilla pageant,[16][17] she finished third in the 1984 Miss Alaska pageant,[18][19] receiving the "Miss Congeniality" award and a college scholarship.[14] She attended Hawaii Pacific University in the Fall of 1982, North Idaho College (which named her Distinguished Alumni of the Year in June 2008) in the Spring and Fall of 1983, the University of Idaho in the Fall of 1984 and Spring of 1985, Matanuska-Susitna College in the Fall of 1985, and the University of Idaho again in the Spring and Fall of 1986 and the Fall of 1987, when she received her Bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis in journalism.[4][20][21][22]

For whatever strength her ability to deliver a barn-burning speech written by someone else, she has proven over and over again that she is devoid of intellectual curiosity. This is not to say that she is dumb: I don't believe that. I do believe, however, that she is the most incurious personality to capture popular American political interest since William Jennings Bryan, whom she reminds me of very much indeed.

So I went back and looked at results from 2001, same time period after Bush took office. Democrats won governors races is NJ and Virginia. History shows things didn't work out too well for democrats in the following years.

Bush didn't push anything similar to Obama and the Democrat's Agenda in the middle of a recession so bad Obama was calling it a depression, he wasn't taking over the American industry, bailing out banks and companies too big to fail or staging a government take over of 1/6th of the economy in the form of health care reform.

The recent elections, the townhalls, the tea parties and the polls are telling the Democrats that their agenda and spending is out of whack and it will be bad for Democrats in 2010.

And from American Gangster: "Quitting while you are ahead is not the same as quitting."

but quitting before you're endicted isnt' the same as quitting while you're ahead either

democrats aren't mad about SP at all. nothing could be finer for the dems than SP campaigning with her little pug rush, and rich lowry tagging along trying to hide his boner for her.

she tears a divide in the republican party that no democrat could even dream of accomplishing.

and unless she's doing a scripted public appearance, she's completely ignorant. She can't even string together a complete sentence, let alone a coherant one.

but what else would you expect from the same party that brought us the "W" show. 8 yrs of slapstick. with his sidekick "shotgun" cheney.

I'm quite sure that rings true to those completely sold out on Obama and fully deceived by Pelosi's madness, Rahm Emanuel's shady tactics and Axelrod's nonsense (not even he believed his recent garbage on the elections).

But then again Obama thought he could make five trips to help Corzine and his cult of personality would secure a win. No coattails...Moderate Dems rethinking. The American People are not satisfied with the direction of the country.

Obots are overreaching and underestimating Palin and the Republican Party...but more importantly the American People.
