Alt33 has been one of two people on my ignore list for the last three weeks. Obviously, with the suggestion of the moderators, it really has been the best way to deal with his incessant stupidity. This is just a bit of advice I thought I like to share.

No doubt one of his next misinformed rants will be on the evils of collective bargaining.
Ignore list?

Any why do you have to pay to look at some pictures but not others on this site?

Again I ask WHAT PART OF BROKE DO YOU PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTAND. THERE IS NO MORE MONEY.
What part of $1.7 TRILLION dollars in corporate profits in a single fiscal quarter do you not understand?
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/24/business/economy/24econ.html

That's an annualized amount of nearly $7 trillion dollars. Which means if we take just 1/4 of what the fat cats are skimming off of the national economy each year and pocketing, we can balance the entire national budget, without screwing a single human being out of food, or shelter, or good health, or a job, or a retirement pension, or their God given human rights.

We didn't go broke, we were robbed. BIG DIFFERENCE!

Do you idiots understand that corporate taxes do two devastating things to our economy. One, they raise the cost of doing business which in turn drives companies over seas. And two, corporate taxes get passed down to the consumer in higher product and services prices.

Corporate Taxes = Higher prices and less job creation.
I'm all in favor of eliminating corporate taxes entirely and doubling the taxes on high earners. Oh and eliminating all loopholes and other escape hatches too. And all income would be taxed at the same rate. No more privileged tax brackets designed just for the fat cats. And if the rich don't like doing their part for society, then they can move to Somalia and see how they like life as a human island. America is in debt not because society has failed the rich, but rather because the rich have failed society. One way or another, they will pay their debt to society. Whether they pay through a political process or a physical one will be their choice, not ours. Look at the entire span of human history. What I say is inevitable and everyone knows it.

Yes, all this protesting is due to the fact that the Governor of Wisconsin is proposing that federal workers need to contribute, are you ready for this?, a whopping 5.8% of their salary to their pension! As of now, SEIU members contribute ZERO to their pension and healthcare. It is 100% taxpayer funded. Again, liberals are all about spending money on entitlements as long as its someone elses.

I wonder if the governor of Wisconsin understands that HE is a State Employee!! Kind of laughable that smacks of the hypocrisy of the NY new Senator who wants Obama care defeated, but cried to the heavens when his OWN health care (at public expense) was being delayed. Or the potential Senate Candidate from Alaska decrying "unemployment benefits" while his own WIFE had collected them for a while. I think "Do unto others" is REALLY not a Republican value! (or they've misplaced that part of their Bible)

My dear -- screwing human beings out of their "God given" human rights doesn't translate to Republicans as being: food, shelter, good health, a job or retirement pension!! THEIR philosophy is much more simple: I have.....you don't ---- tough SHIT! "Get off your lazy ass and........"

It's only a matter of time before some enterprizing REP introduces legislation to castrate imbiciles so they cannot reproduce and eliminate society's "dross" through extermination. They'll push it as the most patriotic thing anyone can do for the preservation of the American way of life!!

"Priviledged tax bracket"??? You are aware that the "rich" are in a higher tax bracket than the middle class, arent you?

Who ever said America is in debt because society has failed the rich?

Wisconsin, just like the rest of the states Ie New York, Illinois, New jersey and California all have to seriously cut alot of worthless programs, get rid of unions and their collective bargaining, take away their ridiculous benefits like lifetime healthcare. We simply cannot afford it. We are broke folks, anyone serious knows this. Liberals only solution is to tax and spend and tax and spend. The good part is we are out of money. Sorry but we have very tough decisions to make and their are no liberals out there to even deal with these facts.

Like I said in a previous thread... sometimes the comedy just writes itself. Wouldn't you say so, maxcok?
Yes it does, but I stop laughing when I realize how increasingly the troglodytes and imbeciles are the ignorant, unwitting footsoldiers of the Corporatist Reich, and what a threat that is to democracy and civil society.

FYI news flash Scott Walker was elected in Nov 2010 so how did he create the $3 billion in debt?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Based on that ingenious smart liberal analysis then this entire economic issue all falls on your beloved Obama.

You should really better understand what is happening in Wisconsin. The removal of Collective Bargaining, which is really not collective at all it is the union heads doing all of the bargaining. Second the removal of this clause will stop the forced hand over of $600 plus in dues from all union members weather or not they actively participate. It will give the state more control of the cost and provide a means to remove those that are not up to par.

So I would rather have my $600 in my pocket pay the small % into my pension and be done with the union all together. The only ones that benefit are the union heads they are making out in all of this.

To fix this whole issue there should be a simple state wide vote. Up or down yes or no should the Public Workers lose their collective socialist grip on all the other tax payers or should they be able to keep the status quo.

I am leaning that most tax payers that do not receive a FREE pension would vote yes take away the collective bargaining and make them pay part of their health and pension. Problem is like most democrats and liberals in that state they know they will lose so what do they do "run" like a bunch of cry babies on this board that can't seem to face simple mathematical facts there is NO MONEY. Have a vote and let the people decide.

Its quite simple why is this so hard. One last thing I ask prior for someone to show me statistically how increases in pay relate to a more educated society. Anyone???

Just so you know these are not God given human rights. NO ONE is entitled to anything you must earn what you have. Just like myself I am not entitled to my business being successful I must earn that right. That is the problem people feel entitled to other peoples hard work and earnings. Fortunately this country is finally waking up and saying no it is not your money its mine I earned it. What I have left over after I paying my bills, providing for my family, my lifestyle etc I might share but only if I feel like it. Period!!

I have worked and contributed to entitlement programs just like everyone else who has a job in this country. When those Social Security statements come in to show how much I have contributed over the years through my tax dollars and how much I am eligible for, I AM entitled to that. Period. That has nothing to do with what you do, what money you make and how you want to protect it.

Don't confuse the word entitlement with the word welfare. It's not a handout. It's a government ran, long term investment.

Do you really think the government has an account of VB just for you waiting? Not sure of your age but I am 37 I know there is a 50/50 shot if I will actually see any Social Security money. I am not banking on SS anyhow. But to think that there is an account just waiting for you is silly.

Have you ever seen a Social Security statement?
The Social Security Statement
Social Security - Your Social Security Statement (page 1)

First off, you're sure of my age because it's attached to every post I make around here. Secondly, I'm not "banking" solely on Social Security. Most people understand that one cannot sustain a reasonable way of life after retirement just on that alone. However, I am entitled to what they offer based on what I have contributed to the system over many years... for others over several decades. Whether or not the program will sustain itself so that future generations will have access to it when they get older is another thing altogether. One thing is for certain, if greedy Capitalists and blindly, corporate driven politicians are able to further confuse people into believing that what they honestly have worked for doesn't actually belong to them, Social Security may in fact be gone by the time you or I have to retire.

Do keep in mind, even you contribute to that system. If you're really a stickler for money, you'd be concerned about what's going on with Social Security as well. Because once you retire (or find yourself unable to work), EVERY DIME COUNTS. Stocks, 401Ks, retirement funds you've set aside for yourself, insurance... it all makes a difference.

I agree that I follow my SS statement but I have no faith that the government has an account set up with my name with a stamp that says only to be used for Alt. That is not how the system works. SS funds have been used for a variety of other programs which is the reason it is running out of money along with the increase of people on SS and the decrease of those contributing.

I would much rather be allowed to keep the money and invest according to my means. Sort of like health care I switch my companies plan to the High Deductible. Last year I spent about $10k on my family plan but only used maybe $2K. So this year I will spend only $5 or so. With the $5k saved I can reinvest that money to things of my choice or not invest it at all and just blow it on porn.

I know not all people are the same and some might not have the fiscal discipline that I may have and for them SS if great. But I know I can get a much higher rate of return on my money if I had the choice of where to invest.

You didn't even read Industrialsize's contribution, did you? He claims there's a debt but there would not have been if he hadn't axed the commuter rail subsidy and re-written the budget to reward all the special interests who elected him. The sheeple believed all those expensive and false ads funded by his corporate backers. I despair of the species to which I belong. It contains specimens like you as well.

Great we have another conservative on the board, Now we can have a true dialogue ( just need a few more conservatives) without the liberals dominating every subject and agreeing with each other like robotic automatons. Forget about social security, our great liberal leadership has already gobbled it up for their socialist pet projects. Liberals dont want to cut spending, get rid of unions, they want the status quo. What part of broke dont you understand.

So lets hear some ideas from the left wingers about the Obama administration's projecting over a trillion dollars each year for the rest of the decade and that is if Obamas rosy projections come to fruition. If they dont work out its gunna be way worse that one trillion a year. So we are totally broke and adding trillions more to our national debt, does this make common sense??????
