How a growing Christian movement of self-proclaimed 'prophets' gave religious motivation for the US Capitol riot
It is this movement, INC Christianity or Independent Network Christians that I have come to believe is the largest movement that is the driving force of the Christians who believe God sent Trump to be their leader, not the Evangelical Christian movement that is smaller than INC and are in decline in membership.
Consider this quote from the article:
This fast growing movement has the best potential to uproot the Constitution and totally change America.
Evangelical Christians have also supported Trump. The two Christian groups are very different. I've read that the Evangelical Christians are declining in membership while this writer says that INC Christians are growing rapidly.
We need to know with whom we are dealing.
I have gone through and written some key phrases and points in this article to help identify this group.
I suggest that you read the article yourself as I have only given highlights. This writer wrote this article based on a book he has published so there are many details and facts to read for those wanting to buy the book!
I had never heard of this group before today. Now I see a force that is stronger than mainline churches.
Consider this quote toward the end of the article.
For INC Christianity's “prophets," Trump is God's chosen candidate to advance the kingdom of God in America, so any other candidate, no matter what the vote totals show, is illegitimate."
For those familiar with the Old Testament Prophets, the INC prophets have the same powers including predictions. Those powers are mentioned below and in more detail in the article.

"Many white evangelical leaders have provided religious justification and undying support for Trump's presidency, including his most racially incendiary rhetoric and policies. The writer of this article argues that a particular segment of white evangelicalism that he calls Independent Network Charismatic, or INC, has played a unique role in providing a spiritual justification for the movement to overturn the election which resulted in the storming of the Capitol."
INC Christianity is a group of high-profile independent leaders who are detached from any formal denomination and cooperate with one another in loose networks.
Prayer marches
Some points made:
Jericho March's main activity has been organizing prayer marches around Capitol buildings around the nation after the election, imitating the “battle of Jericho" in the Bible. In this biblical battle God commanded the army of his chosen people, the nation of Israel, to blow trumpets and then march around the city walls until God brought the walls down and allowed Israel to invade and conquer the city.
Jericho March members believe that their prayer marches will help defeat the corrupt forces they claim, “stole" the election and that God will install Trump in his rightful place as president on Jan. 20.
Their strategy is peaceful prayer marches, After the attempted coup on Jan 6, "Jericho March denounces any and all acts of violence and destruction, including any that took place at the U.S. Capitol."
Could Jericho March be complicit in the attempted coup on Jan 6? The writer of this article says yes.
God will install Trump as president on Jan 20? Folks this isn't over!?!
The worst may be yet to come within hours. Only 20 something (I read this earlier and don't remember the exact number of states have called out their National Guard to guard their Capitols.
On with the article.
'Prophets' and Charismatic Christianity
A little bit about what this group considers prophets and who are the Charismatic Christians.
A group of INC Christians believe that they are modern day prophets that this writer calls Charismatic Christianity and is a part of the Jericho March events. "A group of these modern-day “prophets like the prophets in the Old Testament emphasizing the 'gifts of the Holy Spirit,' which include "healing, exorcism, speaking in spiritual languages, and prophecy – defined as hearing direct words from God that reveal his plans for the future and directions for his people to follow."
Scholars have for many years used the term charismatic to describe Christians in mainline or independent churches that emphasize the gifts of the spirit as opposed to Pentecostal Christians, who are affiliated with official Pentecostal denominations.
More information in article leading up to this conclusion. "Some particularly gifted 'prophets' are seen as being able to predict world events and get directions from God regarding entire nations."
"Some independent, high-profile leaders believe that some gifted prophets have the gift to predict world events and get directions from God. This has become increasingly important in INC Christianity."
'Seven mountains of culture'
"Before the 2016 election a group of INC “prophets" proclaimed Trump to be God's chosen candidate, similar to King Cyrus in the Bible, whom God used to restore the nation of Israel. After their prophesies of Trump's winning the election came true, these “prophets" became enormously popular in INC Christianity."
With an unorthodox theology to promote conservative Christianity, conservative Christianity is the fastest growing Christian group in America.
There are over 36 million people attending U.S. independent Charismatic churches – that is, those not affiliated with denominations according to this writer.
"INC +promotes a form of Christian nationalism the primary goal of which is not to build congregations or to convert individuals, but to bring heaven or God's intended perfect society to Earth by placing “kingdom-minded people" in powerful positions at the top of all sectors of society, the so-called “seven mountains of culture" comprising government, business, family, religion, media, education and arts/entertainment."
The belief that " society would have biblical morality, people would live in harmony, there would be peace and not war, there would be no poverty." They see Trump as fulfilling God's plan to place “kingdom-minded" leaders in top government positions, including Cabinet members and Supreme Court appointments.
Sounds wonderful on paper. In practice throughout history I've studied, this kind of theology becomes dictatorial.
Trump as God's chosen president
"Many of those referred to as prophets in INC Christianity predicted another Trump victory in 2020. The prophets 'have adopted Trump's conspiratorial rhetoric that the election was fraudulent.
For INC Christianity's 'prophets,' Trump is God's chosen candidate to advance the kingdom of God in America, so any other candidate, no matter what the vote totals show, is illegitimate."
There are many references throughout the article that give much more details.
This fast growing movement has the best potential to uproot the Constitution and totally change America.
I do not want our republic under our Constitution be trampled and the US ruled by a council of these INC Christians. We will become another Iran: A Christian theocracy instead of a Muslim theocracy.
I do not want a theocratic supreme ruler! This is diametrically in opposition in what Jesus said and Paul wrote. There is nothing in the New Testament that gives instructions for this kind of government.
This INC doctrine goes against the doctrine of the Evangelical Christians that believe it will keep getting worse until the literal Jesus' Second Coming when the trumpets sound and the dead arise and Jesus descends onto the earth.
Even so, both INC Christians and Evangelical Christians are supporters of Trump.
I suspect that a large majority of those voting for Trump were either Evangelical Christians or INC Christians.
Your Thoughts on the INC Christian movement?
Has any here personally know any INC Christians?
Is there any other sources out there concerning this movement?
Who do we who are loyal to the Constitution have the most to fear to destroy the US Constitution?
