Simple question:

will you get the shot as it becomes available to your population?

I perform some of my work in home, so I’m in tier 2 or 3 locally. I’m also asthmatic And partnered with a man in a high risk group.
Pfizer/Bioron or Moderna, yes.
AstraZenica or any of the Sino- vaccines, I’d be more reluctant based on trials.

I plan on taking a few days off after the second jab. I have a history of rough days after an influenza shot, so having a couple days to be lazy might be good.
My last flu shot made a painful knot that interferes with my work.

I don’t intend on taking it no time soon. I’m giving it a wait and see approach. There might be side affects we don’t know about yet.
Stay out of crowds, take your vitamins to keep your immune system up.
I'll take it soon as it's available. I would like to have the Pfizer vaccine being a worked with them and know the quality of their work. I think because of my health I will probably be in the last group to get the vaccine. I'm hoping a lot of my family and friends will be in the early group as I worry about them more than I worry about myself. We have isolated ourselves from the general population and with the exception of our daughter we are not exposed to any outside environment. I'm not sure how you can have any discussion on this vaccine and not have it political. But good luck trying.

I think the long-term effects of the virus outweigh the long-term effects of the vaccine. The list of long-term effects of the virus covering everything from dementia, respiratory problems, heart problems, liver problems, kidney failure, and severe forms of arthritis. The virus potential a long time suffering far outweighs my concern over any side effects from the vaccine. I guess the positive side of so many people being afraid to get a vaccine may push me in the back of a line to a point sooner.

I will take it when it is available, but I do not blame anyone who feels uncomfortable about the speed that this has been developed. All I will say is read up on the advancements made in vaccine development and the record amount of funding put behind the research.

Your concerns matter, so please read up from accredited sources about the process behind the vaccine. Don't rely on YouTube or 3rd party information that doesn't provide facts for their assertions.

I'll do it. My doctor said I should take advantage if/when they open it up for people with asthma even though I'm low risk. It will probably be a while before that happens, one would think.

I’m inclined to mRNA vaccines, in this case.

I’m curious about Johnson-Jensen’s offerings. Supposedly one shot, not two. I’m unsure of the technology they are using.
Handy comparative table included... Covid-19: Oxford University vaccine is highly effective

Nope. Will never take it. Body has a 99.98% chance of beating it if you get it. With the vaccine, it's 95%. As well with the vaccine, it was announced today that there's no proof you won't still be a spreader and will still need to wear a mask and distance. I will continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle and use my immune system along with exercise, getting sunshine, and eating right to boost my immune system.

Fair dos... but what if you do get infected but, because of your healthy lifestyle, don't show symptoms... and so go on to unwittingly spread the virus?

Or do you do all the social distancing stuff n' mask blah blah anyway?

There is also the problem of comparing Covid-19's survival rate with the vaccine's efficacy rate. Reuters has a quick breakdown/fact check here as to why this might seem logical but is incorrect.

As for me, I would take it tomorrow if I could, but I am low priority. Even though I am relatively young and healthy, the potential side effects of the vaccine seem like less of a hassle than getting Covid019. I hope that by the time most Americans have access to the vaccines their fears will have proven to be unfounded.

Ohio had 579,357 cases as of today, over 5800 new cases and 98 deaths today. It is a big fucking chance to take when a vaccine is there at no cost, and even if you get the virus after the vaccine it will be less severe. Your choice roll the dice.

I am vaccinated for every possible virus that is out there, so I’m ready for this one when it’s my turn. I also take PrEP, so I can’t catch the HIV virus. I will take it to protect others, not me. If I have the vaccine, I can’t catch the virus and I can’t pass it on to my mum.

This is an interesting article for anyone worried about the phrase “rushed” when talking about the speed of vaccine development.

Less than a year to develop a COVID vaccine – here's why you shouldn't be alarmed

I’m a health care worker.
Likely, one agency will require the shots. Hopefully, they’ll pay for it, as they are an employer.
The rest are contracts, so expenses and hassles fall on me. Grr.

my clientele/patients are typically immunocompromised, living in multi generational homes, unlikely to wear a mask. (Unable to communicate, younger than requirement, and combative)

my getting the jab protects others in a real way.
I had the “was it covid?” stuff last December into January. Still, I don’t wish to be Typhoid, or Covid, Mary.
