I'm so sorry to hear that you've been feeling this way--I had no idea. I'm glad that you've taken some huge key steps, such as obtaining medicine or some sort of medical help (because honestly, there's no reason to face something like depression alone. People forget that depression requires immediate medical attention, just like a heart attack.)

Always remember that there are people in this world--me, your other friends on LPSG, and more importantly your mother and family--who want you in their lives. Please don't ever do anything to jeopardize the wonderful life you have yet to live. You have so much happinesss ahead of you and it would be tragic for you to miss out on it.

I am glad to hear that things went well for you last night and that while your mother knows, the end of the world didn't occur. You are a great guy and I know your future will be great!

Since writing this I've felt alot better in many ways, I do feel a little anxious still tho. But for the most part I do feel great. I've begun telling a couple of people, a few friends at school to begin with, they're more than cool with it. Telling the rest of my family is what's gonna be rough on me atm, but I'll get there eventually I'm sure. Thnx to everyone on all your positive feedback and support ^^

Another little update, told a couple more people, and now half my family knows. My sister was informed not long ago, she was cool with it, in fact she said "Well now we have even more in common", and smiled. Things are really starting to go my way and I feel great, I don't feel held down like I used to, it's amazing how just talking to someone can change everything. Well I'm off, she's wanting to go look at motorcycles with me lol (she's jealous of my crotch rocket and wants one ) Take it easy everyone, and thnx again to everyone for their support and all the private messages as well ^^. Lots of silly laws are on the books, yes. Including ones that may not actually be commited by gays, but are associated with them in 'the public mind' and don't mix with social or professional life once you are 'out'. Telling a teacher, even if she swears herself to secrecy, falls into this area. Darkriff and I spoke via PM about this already.

Hello Darkriff - Well as you know I liked you from the get-go. What you don't know, that is not at all typical for me. I knew you were 'curious', and I had a sense you were feeling conflicted, though I had no idea how much, as you have always been very open and upbeat with me at least. I am woefully behind in my correspondence here, but I will catch up with you soon in PM. I am in a lot of physical pain today, so not really in a mind to communicate with you thoughtfully.

Meanwhile, I would suggest you stop beating yourself up. You are intelligent, openminded, self-aware, you have a terrific sense of humor, and I always enjoy reading your posts. These are big changes you are experiencing, and change is always unsettling, even when it is for the better. These are my suggestions: focus on getting comfortable with yourself and comfortable with the people you already know and trust first. Take baby steps, and don't feel compelled to share every detail. Resist the temptation for now to come out with a big bang and shout it from the rooftops. Be patient and positive, my friend. - Max
