For the better part of the week now, I've been running the following stories in the Trump [occupancy] thread. But in TRUTH, they ALL rightfully belong RIGHT HERE, it the Trump Dictatorship thread, because DICTATORSHIP, in one form at least, is precisely what Trump is DOING in his illegal occupation of Portland and his plans on doing likewise elsewhere. "Not a dictatorship"? Guess again. THIS IS REAL NAZI SHIT:

Secret Police Forces Alarm Oregon: 'Trump Is Looking For a Confrontation

WTF PORTLAND? UNMARKED VEHICLES, UNIDENTIFIED FEDS SCOOPING UP PROTESTORS OFF THE STREET

Pelosi: Feds in Portland are 'Trump's stormtroopers' who are 'kidnapping protesters' and 'must be stopped'

Every ONE of the items highlighted above clearly ILLUSTRATE the unlawful, illegal tactics of an Oval Office occupant who has hobbled federal government and bent it to HIS will, and who NEVER had respect for either law, the separation of powers, or jurisprudence.

He's been testing what he could fkng GET AWAY WITH, from the day he first slithered into the w.h., and is doing so STILL. And SO far, Congress, the judiciary, the military, and the American people have LET HIM.

Trump Has Unleashed Authoritarian Violence In Portland. What City Is Next? | HuffPost

During the last two weeks, federal law enforcement agents in Portland have terrorized peaceful protesters by bundling them into unmarked vehicles without probable cause and pulling masks over their faces — a development experts say is a “a classic way that violence happens in authoritarian regimes” and that has deeply alarmed several members of Congress.

House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) called it “the activity of a police state.”

“This is what dictators do,” Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) tweeted.

Portland Protests Turn Violent After Federal Officers Shoot At Protesters

Photographer Mathieu Lewis-Rolland was on scene at Monday night's anti–police brutality protests in Portland when he captured a striking image: a federal officer pointing their weapon directly at him.

The officer, like many currently in the city under orders from the Trump administration, is wearing a camouflage uniform, a helmet, and a gas mask as he stares directly at the camera.

The evening of violence left Lewis-Rolland extremely shaken. "I hadn’t seen the feds raise their guns like they did tonight," he told BuzzFeed News in a phone interview Tuesday. "I saw them pointing them at everybody and anyone, including me."

"Last night was the most horrifying thing I have ever experienced in my life," he said. "I got shot at, gassed more times than I can imagine."

‘Just plain wrong’: Fox News analyst attacks Trump’s ‘unconstitutional’ use of federal troops in Portland | The Independent

Fox News
judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano has condemned the Trump administration for sending federal troops into Portland to stop protests unfolding there, saying their actions are both unconstitutional and “just plain wrong”.

It comes amid growing anger at the sight of camouflage-clad troops arresting people on Portland’s streets without explanation – even as city leaders demand that they leave.

“The federal government cannot put troops or military personnel or police on the streets without the invitation of the governor or the legislature of the state,” said Mr Napolitano in a Fox News interview. “That’s not only federal law, that’s in the Constitution.

I guess they don't have video where you live. A federalist talking head is clutching his pearls. If these guys had been around at the time we'd still be British. If they had power in WW2 the Reich would have won.

It should come as NO surprise that some on the right, including some of Trump's media pundits and shills have risen to defend this blatant fascist's POWER GRAB. And all considered, defense of this sort of thing is to be EXPECTED from those who've defended ignored or dismissed every OTHER Trump outrage.

But MANY, right and left of the political spectrum have recognized this for exactly what it is and have come out in condemnation of Trump's actions in Portland, and his PLANNED OCCUPATION of other American cities, under the flimsiest of pretexts.

‘Lipstick on Gestapo pigs’: Trump sending ‘storm troopers’ and ‘jack-booted secret police thugs’ to US cities slammed as fascism – Raw Story

Trump’s Wednesday afternoon press conference, held in the same White House room where President Barack Obama announced the U.S. had killed Osama bin Laden, was quickly panned as a “last-ditch effort to win the election,” “fascism,” and an unnecessary use of force over the wishes of U.S. cities.

Trump announced he will be sending hundreds of federal officers to the streets of Chicago to arrest “murderers and violent criminals” who, he claimed, “are breaking a wide range of federal laws, we have that, it’s as wide as it can be.”

In Portland, Trump’s highly-armed SWAT teams are causing massive unrest, especially after reports that his secret police “goon squads,” as some have called them, are “proactively arresting” Americans who have committed no crimes, as Homeland Security acting Secretary Chad Wolf admitted Tuesday.

In fact, overall crime and violent crime (except murder) is down across the country, including in America’s top cities.

So in ESSENCE, what this fkr is doing is rounding up political dissidents under false pretenses

Not TOO Coincidentally:

Russian Allies Helping Trump Win Reelection Have A Partner In Wisconsin Republican | HuffPost

Allies of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin hoping to give Trump a second term in office appear to have a new partner: Republican Ron Johnson, who is using his Senate committee to renew debunked allegations against presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

Johnson, a second-term senator from Wisconsin who chairs the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, is leading an investigation into the former vice president nearly identical to the one Trump pushed for in Ukraine that led to his impeachment earlier this year, and which echoes allegations being made in Russian-owned propaganda outlets.

One former pro-Russian Ukrainian lawmaker... told The Washington Post that material showing the former vice president’s efforts to get a Ukrainian prosecutor fired has been turned over to Johnson’s committee.

Oleksandr Onyshchenko is among a group of pro-Russian Ukrainians, including one graduate of a KGB school, who have ramped up claims against Biden and released batches of edited audiotapes. They have said more material would be released closer to the election, when it would be more useful to Trump.

OH, btw, MORON, before you use a picture your pal PUTIN sends you to discredit American protesters, check it see if it's AT LEAST an accurate picture, and NOT one from Putin's OWN dirty as s------ laundry:

Trump Campaign Smears American Protesters With Photo From Ukraine – Mother Jones

Trump is trying to boost his reelection chances by highlighting his efforts to use federal officers to crack down on what he claims is lawlessness in US cities.

This week, his campaign ran a Facebook ad that showed protesters attacking a police officer. The words “chaos & violence” appear under the photo, a suggestion that Trump will stop such actions. But the image is not from a protest in an American city. It is from Kyiv in 2014, part of the so-called Maidan Revolution against former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych’s pro-Russian policies. Yanunkovych was eventually forced out. He fled to Moscow—but not before exacting a bloody toll.

Yanukovych was accused of extensive corruption. Last year, a Ukrainian court convicted him of treason over his invitation to Russia to invade Ukraine in 2014.
[INVITATION to Russia.... hmmm... now why does THAT sound familiar/]

Paul Manafort, who worked as Trump’s campaign chairman in 2016, was previously a longtime adviser to Yanukovych and was sentenced last year to seven years in prison for crimes that include illegally lobbying for Yanukovych in the United States and tax fraud related to his efforts to hide proceeds from his Ukrainian work.

The House of Representatives impeached Trump last year for attempting to pressure Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden. That scheme involved Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, working with former political allies of Yanukovych.

HITLER IN THE MAKING
Trump says he could send as many as 75,000 federal agents to US cities - CNNPolitics

Trump said Thursday that he's willing to send as many as 75,000 federal agents into American cities to quell violent crime, a recent campaign theme for [him].

Speaking in a telephone interview on Fox News, Trump began by saying he was ready to dispatch "50,000, 60,000 people" into American cities.

But eventually he upped the figure to 75,000 -- but said it would require local authorities asking for help.

"We have to be invited in. At some point we'll have to do something much stronger than being invited in," Trump said.
"We'll go into all of the cities, any of the cities. We're ready," he added.

Trump's campaign has increasingly turned to dark themes of violence and chaos as it seeks to falsely paint his Democratic rival Joe Biden as anti-police.

'My own government': Federal officer shoots Portland professor in head, subjects mayor to tear gas

In what Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler dubbed both an “egregious overreaction” and an "urban warfare" tactic, federal authorities subjected the mayor to tear gas Wednesday night in their indiscriminate use of violence and scare tactics.

“I’m not going to lie—it stings; it’s hard to breathe,” Wheeler told a New York Times journalist. “And I can tell you with 100 percent honesty, I saw nothing which provoked this response. It's nasty stuff. I'm not afraid, but I am pissed off.”

Wheeler, who has bumped heads with protesters critical of the city police’s crowd control tactics, said “a lot of these people hate my guts” but they were united in wanting federal authorities gone.

He had said in a Twitter thread earlier Wednesday that he “was made aware of concerns within the community that federal agents may be authorized to use live ammunition on demonstrators this evening.”

Mayor Of Portland, Oregon, First Booed By Protesters, Then Tear Gassed By Federal Agents | HuffPost

Mayor Ted Wheeler, a Democrat, said it was the first time he’d been tear gassed and appeared slightly dazed and coughed as he put on a pair of goggles someone handed him and drank water. He didn’t leave his spot at the front, however, and continued to take gas.

Earlier in the night, Wheeler was mostly jeered as he tried to rally demonstrators who have clashed nightly with federal agents but was briefly applauded when he shouted “Black Lives Matter” and pumped his fist in the air. The mayor has opposed federal agents’ presence in Oregon’s largest city, but he has faced harsh criticism from many sides and his presence wasn’t welcomed by many, who yelled and swore at him.

In Portland protests, mayor warns 'somebody's going to die'

And if that weren't enough:

Portland Federal Agents Accused of War Crimes for Destroying Medical Supplies

Federal authorities have been accused of violating the Geneva Convention after apparently destroying medical equipment during protests in Portland.

Reporter Sergio Olmos shared a video on Twitter Tuesday night showing medical supplies and protective gear covered in an orange liquid.

"It appears that federal officers, during dispersal, pepper sprayed the medical supplies in the tents," Olmos wrote.

The video prompted Dr. Eric Feigl-Ding, an epidemiologist and public health scientist at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health, to tweet that it was "Fubar"—a military acronym for "f***ed up beyond all recognition."

he added: "Attacking medical units violates half a dozen conventions and international statutes, not only Geneva Convention but also International Criminal Court statutes. But hey, Chad Wolf, Bill Barr, and Trump say it's okay!"

#WHY ALBUQUERQUE

The first article below (and their front page picture of Albuquerque "protestor") raises some quite valid questions and OBSERVATIONS.

Specifically that, besides a grandstanding ploy to prop up his failing campaign by again playing to the hate based sentiment of his constituency via the DEMONIZATION of those considered "un-American" or something "other,"

his actions are POLITICALLY MOTIVATED and directed against targeted cities that so far has had TWO things in common, local law enforcement partial to Trumpian ideology and resistant to community oriented policing standards, and those with Democratic administrations:

Feds arrive to quell, um, something. #WhyAlbuquerque?

The people of New Mexico are scratching their heads at the reported arrival of federal security forces called in by the White House to quell what they call an explosion of violence and unrest in the state’s largest city, Albuquerque. But as the Albuquerque Journal reports:

“Recently released crime statistics from APD show a decrease in property crime from 2018 to 2019 and violent crime holding steady. Although homicides spiked in 2019, this year, has had fewer cases. violent crimes are reportedly down.“

Oops. Pesky facts. Bernalillo County Sheriff Manuel Gonzales says...

“Today’s announcement from the federal government speaks for itself, and the local FBI also made it clear what Operation Legend special agents will do: combat Albuquerque’s out of control crime crisis and solve homicides.”

This is a sheriff who is infamous for opposing body cameras for his deputies, btw. New Mexico’s generally un-reactionary, moderate U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich has taken the extraordinary step of asking the sheriff to resign.

All this and more has stirred up quite a lot of interest on Twitter under the hashtag #WhyAlbuquerque? The tweets say it better than I can and I encourage you to look it up and read lots more:

#whyalbuquerque because we have everything he's afraid of:

1. Democrat governor, strong female, Latina.
2. Democrat representative, strong female, native American.
3. Democrat mayor.
4. A better response to Covid.
5. Our state has a border with Mexico. https://t.co/FYRvbKinON

Violent, reckless federal forces have a friend in the city’s police.

There’s a reason why Donald Trump chose Portland as his first major staging ground for this war on journalists and racial justice activists.

In the weeks before Trump sent in Department of Homeland Security forces, the Portland police had been making regular use of violent tactics to subdue demonstrators. The Portland Police Bureau has already earned one temporary restraining order from a federal judge for its likely violation of protesters’ free speech rights and another for arresting journalists and legal observers for recording police activity at demonstrations.

A few weeks ago, after state officials banned the use of tear gas by police except in the case of riots, the police simply began declaring the protests riots before tear-gassing crowds.

In the PPB, Trump has found a police force fully aligned with his contention that violent shows of force are necessary and warranted to disperse progressive demonstrators.

And in Daryl Turner, the president of the Portland Police Association, the PPB’s union, Trump has found a ready ally.

Turner has used the language of war to justify the presence of federal agents, saying the city is “under siege.”

He’s also publicly denigrated the local elected officials who are calling for Trump to withdraw federal forces from the city: Turner said those leaders are “demonizing and vilifying the officers on the front lines” and “have placed their political agenda ahead of the safety and welfare of the community.”

HITLER IN THE MAKING part 2: TRUMP'S GESTAPO

Trump’s private army is scarier than you think.

It doesn’t take a legal expert to know that what’s happening in Portland, Oregon is an abuse of power.

When unidentified federal forces dressed as soldiers pull people off the streets into unmarked vans, something is gravely wrong.

What’s less apparent is that this abuse is part of an ongoing effort by the administration to get around “posse comitatus”: the principle that A president cannot use the military as a domestic police force.

The implications for the rule of law—and potentially for the 2020 election—are staggering.

The Department of Homeland Security personnel deployed in Portland are federal law enforcement agents, not members of the armed forces.

But the evidence is mounting that they are not there to enforce the law. Instead, they are acting as a paramilitary wing to assist [Trump] in his longstanding goal to (in his words) “take over” U.S. cities run by Democrats.

This goal dates back to the beginning of Trump’s residency.

Five days after his inauguration, he tweeted: “If Chicago doesn’t fix the horrible ‘carnage’ going on, 228 shootings in 2017 with 42 killings (up 24% from 216), I will send in the Feds!”

He has issued similar threats periodically throughout his time in office.

But it was the protests that erupted across the country in response to the brutal police killing of George Floyd that finally gave [him] his chance.

At [his] direction, the governors of 11 states (10 of them Republicans) sent their National Guard units into Washington, DC, where largely peaceful protests had been marred by isolated incidents of violence and looting.

The deployment was over the objections of the city’s mayor, Muriel Bowser.

Congress passed the Posse Comitatus Act to prevent exactly this type of action. The 1878 law bars federal troops from participating in domestic law enforcement activities absent an express authorization by Congress. But the Act applies to the National Guard only when its units are federalized.

Even though Guard troops were clearly acting at the direction of [Trump] and secretary of defense, [he] did not officially federalize them, leaving them free to conduct law enforcement activities.

That gambit served his purposes in DC. But pulling the same trick in a state might be more difficult.

So [he] is trying out a new end run around the Posse Comitatus Act.

The Department of Homeland Security has sent dozens of agents to Portland to “restore order,” against the will of Portland’s mayor and the governor of Oregon.... to protect federal property, which federal law enforcement agencies may do with or without local authorities’ consent.

But in less scripted moments, [Trump] has blown this cover, repeatedly declaring that he’s sending the feds to do the job of local Democratic officials because those officials are doing it so badly. “You’re supposed to wait for them to call, but they don’t call,” he complained.

In any case, it’s fairly obvious that DHS agents aren’t in Portland simply to protect federal property or personnel.

They’ve been recorded driving in areas far from any federal building and apprehending people who are not visibly engaged in any crime, let alone a federal one.

In these cases, no charges are brought, no laws “enforced.” After holding the person for a short but terrifying period of time, the agents release them, leaving no record of the event. What they leave instead is a message of intimidation.

This isn’t the behavior of a law enforcement agency, state or federal. It’s the behavior of a lawless paramilitary force—and it’s no accident that President Trump chose DHS for the job.

HITLER IN THE MAKING part 3: Trump Is Using His Secret Paramilitary Occupation Force to Intimidate His Political Opposition

Looking for Trouble: Trump to Send Federal "Police" to Milwaukee during Democratic Convention

Trump's federal/storm-troopers will be sent to Milwaukee at a time that just happens to coincide with the Democratic National Convention. [There have been] articles before this about his thugs being sent to other places soon, including Chicago and Albuquerque, but nothing in national publications about Milwaukee. Democratic Governor, Tony Evers, has raised objections, and the article, originally from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, says:

...state and local officials are wary of what they see as a political move by the Trump administration and outright alarmed by what they've seen federal agents do in other cities, including Portland.

"LOOKS like"? A "rehersal"? It IS. Trump having decided he may very well lose in November has ALREADY BEGUN his move for COMPLETE DICTATORSHIP. To DELIBERATELY CREATE a condition where EVEN HAVING an election becomes UNTENABLE.

DEMOCRACY, literally in its LAST death throes:

when it comes to assaulting Americans, Trump has been asserting strong leadership.

He's deploying unidentified federal agents against protesters in Portland, Oregon: attacking them, pulling them into unmarked vans, detaining them without charges.

Trump is also sending troops to Kansas City, Albuquerque and Chicago. He says he'll send them to New York, Philadelphia, Detroit, Baltimore and Oakland as well—not incidentally, all cities with Democratic mayors, large Black populations and no violent unrest.

Care to tell me/us about it? Im always open to listening to someone else's perspective.

No, I'd rather bang my head against a way until the wall falls, much easier and more worthwhile. You can do a little homework, you won't listen to anyone else that has a different reality.

ha ha. Caught out by your own stupid hypocrisy. You accuse him of not understanding - he asks for explanation saying he’s open to hearing others views and you choke!!!!

That’s probably because you know Antifa & BLM are Marxist organisation’s and you're part of them. There is no defending them. They are evil. And you are deluded. Any reasonable person can see that.

I don't know others reality just like they don't know mine. What I do know is I just asked you a genuine and respectful question. Share your opinion. Your reply in my opinion is the cause of divide and breakdown country today. Next time someone ask your opinion on something give it to them. We are all quite good at offering views and opinions to others who don't ask for it.
