Just pointing out that left and right exist, and currently its the right supporting the president how actually enjoys their support.
Extremism from either camp is abhorrent to any sane sensible American - though there are those who swing violently to one side or the other.
In the past there were the Salem and witch-hunts for anyone who didn't fit in with the norm, then the McCarty with hunts for suspected Communists - which divided families and friends for live, cost a fortune and solved nothing other than giving a neurotic politician the headlines he craved, (and now, according to Donald he is a victim of a witch hunt) and who knows what else. The KKK could rise to even more prominence, the Black Panthers could return, the world in extremism is an oyster and, picking things over is just as likely to cause an eruption.
But let one leader show a preference to one side or the other and there are going to be consequences - and Republicanism isn't White Supremacy, neither are Democratics Communists..

A) I studied history - that's stuff written down in books - pages and things with lots and lots of words...

1) "Losing support" implies a trend. 1 data point does not create a trend. You need to provide data from the same question asked on a previous date (preferably multiple previous dates) in order to illustrate a trend.
2) The poll does not ask about support. "Pollsters asked voters whether Trump's conduct made them proud or embarrassed them." It is possible for someone to be embarassed by Donald Trump's conduct, but still worry that Hillary Clinton is crooked, for example. You are reading meaning into the question that isn't there, as you always do in every single one of these polls.

Is it? Is it bad news? Because I remember a lot of "bad news" from the polls going into the 2016 election and look who's sitting in the oval office now? And those polls were a hell of a lot more concise about election chances than this poll you've linked.

If you manage to find a poll of sitting US congressmen and women about how interested they would be to vote for charges of impeachment against Donald Trump, let me know, that could be useful data.
