Your mother was very lucky. Pancreatic cancer usually isn't discovered until it's too late.

I had a friend who had a form of cancer that wasn't covered by Social Security disability. During his illness it became covered and as he held the letter in his hands granting him disability he cried. He had been without insurance and was on his ex-partner's insurance until the partner decided they wanted a clean break from the relationship and cut him off. The extension of benefits came too late though. And he died of a treatable cancer that would have been covered in any other developed country on the planet.

This statement is correct by definition because "Social Security disability" does not "cover" any medical treatment. It is an income-replacement entitlement for the disabled.

It really is amazing that we have gone from peanut farmer to actor to CIA director to Arkansas governor to MBA to community organizer to Trump. Can't imagine that anyone on the planet could approve of all of them, yet here we are - American still standing.

My point was simple, that you don't have a clue what medical care "Social Security disability" covers in the United States because it does not. Couldn't care less if you're more fond of the musings of Sargon, Pocahontas, Jefferson or Lenin. You're still certainly wrong.

Sure would be nice to see some more moderates on both sides - who might actually get some things done.
