That quote says it all.

I was watching a group of Evangelical Trump supporters being interviewed by MSNBC, all of whom still adore that thing in the WH. I was in horror listening to the comments. The older woman on the panel put a dagger in my heart. Let me paraphrase her words: "I don't want my president to be polished, or well-mannered; I want him to talk like one of us . I now have my country back....and that means everything, and I thank God for that"

She has her country back. What does she mean by that? We all know.

A never-ending nightmare........

:scream:
The good news is that she will be dead soon.

Let this sink in: Trump could have had it all—DACA, wall funding, a spending bill—then he blew it up

"Dealmaker Donald Trump had a deal. It was deal he said he would sign just two days earlier on live TV. It was a deal he said he would "take the heat" for if it came to that, then he buckled—and for no reason at all."

"The deal would have been an all-around victory for him. It gave him $1.6 billion for the border wall he so badly wants. It gave him a DACA fix for Dreamers, the "bill of love" he'd asked Congress to give him. And it would have given him the votes to pass a long-term spending bill to both fund the government and the military, a top priority for Trump and the White House."

"But Trump looked that deal in face and spit [sic] at it. Almost literally spit at it, because he had been primed by his nativist aides and the nativist lawmakers his aides had summoned to the White House to kill the deal. Mission accomplished."

"Trump not only killed the deal, but he did so in terms that left the deal's brokers—Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin and GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham—speechless."

"Bottom line, this is no longer a discussion just about Dreamers, even though that's what Republicans are claiming. This is a discussion about fundamental principles and whether Democrats are willing to let naked racism drive immigration policy..."

Picture says it all, does it not?? Petulant,
stubborn, contrarian, used to having it his way else he goes home with his "marbles" ... the spoiled brat mentality born of the delusional arrogance of the privileged.

... correction. I think her actual words were, "...die off." A minor distinction, perhaps, relating to attrition by way of "natural causes."

ANYWAY, here is another piece, by Jamelle Bouie of slate.com, that again examines the means by which Trump and Republicans THEMSELVES deliberately scuttled what could have been a DEAL on DACA, the wall, and funding:

"While Trump insists he wants to find a solution to this problem, his own statements are at odds with his behavior. Last week, (he) scuttled the deal brokered by Sens. Lindsey Graham and Dick Durbin, following a now-infamous meeting where Trump called both Haiti and various African nations “shitholes.” Since then, the White House has been silent on what it wants from a deal, although Trump’s priorities aren’t hard to discern—he wants more white immigrants and fewer immigrants from countries whose citizens are largely black and brown."

"That the House could move on a short-term bill was itself a minor miracle. On Tuesday, when House leadership presented the measure to rank-and-file Republicans, it was met with defiance from the conservative radicals in the House Freedom Caucus, who threatened to torpedo the proposal out of anger at being fed another stopgap bill."

"This left Paul Ryan with a choice. He could circumvent the Freedom Caucus and negotiate with Democrats, or he could make concessions and hope to pin blame for a shutdown on Democrats. He chose the latter, illustrating just how much conservative Republicans are still acting as if they’re in the minority and demonstrating Ryan’s reluctance to lead rather than follow the demands of his most disruptive members."

How Republicans created the shutdown crisis.

BTW that was meant for Sargon, Keenobserver, BC etc etc. That is, the guys who have written at least 5,000 messages whinging about the Trump presidency. And that's only this year. Accept the decision, and try to stop living in a fantasy land.

How many messages did I write during Obama's 8 horror years of fucking up America. And, furthermore, almost fucking up the whole world through his 'Appease the Muslims' approach? Answer: zero messages, I didn't whinge, or moan, carry on like a 3 year old whose mother told him he couldn't have another icy pole. I accepted the fucked up Barry O. Take heed libtards. Shut your gobs. Cos there are 7 more years of this bliss to come.

Ah, to think, end of year one and no big party, all those celebrations and fund raising dinners planned for this weekend and POTUS is stranded in Washington trying to sort out the deal he failed to pull off - the GREAT NEGOTIATOR - hah.
So as the blame game kicks in the voting gives another picture with voters crossing party lines.
With both houses controlled by Republicans how come s they cant even stop a shut down?
How come the blame game is calling it a Democratic plot against Trump?
How is it that it was the Republicans themselves who saw that this was a bad deal and if only POTUS had stuck with what he said at the cabinet meeting -for all the world to see - then thing might have been different.
Trump enjoys the power he thinks he has, is prepared to wield it regardless of the harm it does his country or its peoples.
Trump wants to look good in his heartlands of no brainers and retards.
Trump wants his popularity/approval ratings to rise from the lowest ever for a sitting president - at least its one first he has that he's not boasting about -and rise to 40%.
Trump is due in Davos at the end of the week, will he still have a dead government or will he doo a deal?
Well my guess is its going to be call my bluff, its a question of who will have the nerve to hold the president to account for the mess he's got the USA into.
So does he get finding for even a partial wall and a resolution for The Dreamers - which at this hour would be a U turn for him being as that was the deal on the table in the week - or dose he hold fast for funding for a whole wall and push back decisions on emigration?

For Trump this is a no win situation he has talked himself into - who knows he might even have listened to advice from "friends" who wanted this scenario - but no matter how much he wriggles, makes rude comments, tweets, in the end he only regrets losing out on golf time and fawning friends.
The truth of the matter is the man who claimed time and time again that he was for inclusion, that he was a deal maker and a great negotiator has shown he is just full of hot air and rhetoric.

Trump Whines: Shutdown Fight Could Make Me Miss ‘My Party’
You would tweet too if it happened to you.

On the eve of a possible government shutdown, President Donald Trump privately vented frustrations that the political impasse could possibly keep him from attending a glitzy inauguration anniversary bash and fundraiser set for Saturday at his Florida getaway Mar-a-Lago.

Two sources close to the president, one a White House official and the other a longtime confidant, told The Daily Beast how excited he was for the event and relayed his growing concern that the potential failure to strike a deal to keep the federal government open could keep him from “my party,” as the president has said.

How exactly was America fucked up during his terms? Was it by giving access to insurance to more Americans? Was it by showing that POC could be more than rappers and ball players? Was it going after bin Laden (after the previous administration said he was of no concern)? Was it by helping the economy improve? Was it by having the respect of leader's all around the world?

I think 'Schumer Shutdown' is far more accurate. Pretty fuckin sure most agree. (Apart from the racist far left).
Get this through your tin foil....GOP controls the White House, the Senate, and the House. No one to blame for disasters but them.

Lets see when any number of things did not pass because every single Democratic Senator voted yes (not the case with this) but not a single or at least not enough Republicans voted yes to make it to 60 did any R, anyone on Fox News, on radio or the web ever say the reason for what ever it was. "it was all the Republicans fault"

No I don't remember it that way.

How exactly was America fucked up during his terms?

Well you know why it was fucked up right? No black man is supposed to be president. If Obama's presidency was fucked up what was his predecessor's GWB and his serial disasters? When they can't come up with a logical reason we know what the real reason is.

Anyway SpiderFriends..

A shutdown causing furloughs has never occurred under unified party control of Congress and the White House. And yet and yet this is the leftist democrats fault?

And, of course, what we always knew:

They know how to scare all the rubes that all the minorities(sexual, religious, racial, immigrants) are coming for all their "stuff". So run down to the polls and vote for us. We will keep take care of them!! Meanwhile untold millions are being funneled into elections by dark money purposely dark because Republicans don't want you to be able to follow the money. Meanwhile look over there!! Hillary's emails, Benghazi, Benghazi!! Obama wore a tan suit!! Obama didn't salute!

The red meat has been thrown to the dogs. Reports today claim that Trump is having a sexual relationship with someone not his wife in the White House. If is said to be alluded to in Michael Wolff's Fire and Fury but not spelled out because as he pit, "I could not find a blue dress." This should get the press corp jazzed up. It will be interesting to see what type of women would fool around with a man who sprays himself orange, does god knows what to his hair, and really needs to start wearing something to hold up his ever growing flabby belly. Stay tuned!
