For much of the past year, President Trump has declined to participate in a practice followed by the past seven of his predecessors: He rarely if ever reads the President’s Daily Brief, a document that lays out the most pressing information collected by U.S. intelligence agencies from hot spots around the world.

Trump has opted to rely on an oral briefing of select intelligence issues in the Oval Office rather than getting the full written document delivered to review separately each day, according to three people familiar with his briefings.

Breaking with tradition, Trump skips president’s written intelligence report and relies on oral briefings

Soon after Trump took office, analysts sought to tailor their intelligence sessions for a president with a famously short attention span, who is known for taking in much of his information from conservative Fox News Channel hosts. The oral briefings were augmented with photos, videos and graphics.

The god awful truth is Trump gets his briefings from Fox and Friends.

Then again The Onion got a scoop of the real Trump briefing:

Republicans want to turn the entire country into Oklahoma

Like many states controlled by Republicans, Oklahoma has for some time been putting the GOP theory into practice: low taxes, little regulation and weak social spending. On the tax front, it has been particularly aggressive, since state law mandates that no tax increase can pass without a three-quarters majority in the state legislature. This has created a one-way ratchet, in which any tax cut is effectively permanent and taxes can only go down.

And has it produced the boundless prosperity Republicans predict? Well, no. In fact, the state is now in a full-blown fiscal crisis. Here’s a summary of the situation from NPR:

Riding high on the oil boom of the late 2000s, the state followed the Kansas model and slashed taxes. But the promised prosperity never came. In many cases, it was just the opposite.

Around 20 percent of Oklahoma’s schools now hold classes just four days a week. Last year, highway patrol officers were given a mileage limit because the state couldn’t afford to put gas in their tanks. Medicaid provider rates have been cut to the point that rural nursing homes and hospitals are closing, and the prisons are so full that the director of corrections says they’re on the brink of a crisis.

Just to reiterate: The state has so little money that 1 in 5 schools is open only four days a week. Gov. Mary Fallin and Republicans in the state legislature are debating a plan to increase taxes to try to address some of these problems, including giving a raise to teachers. Which is sorely needed, because Oklahoma pays its teachers less than any other state in the country.

^ this is important. Uneducated children make for reliable future Republican voters.
And given the GOP has just enacted another round of tax cuts to the tune of $1 trillion it's only a matter of time before the entire US begins to look a lot like Oklahoma.
And illegal aliens/social financial dependents make reliable democratic voters.

Hey if it were not for Mark Burnett wanting different version of "survivor" "the apprentice" was NOT DJT's idea or Russians wanting to launder or at least "park" there money in the US via someone who would ask NO questions he could have been sleeping in a cardboard box next to Randolph and Mortimer, the Duke/s a long time ago.
can you please put this ramble into English so each part relates to something or nothing!

Which brings us to...

It is hard to tell what should be more worrisome: the fact that the commander in chief doesn’t bother to read his daily compilation of the nation’s most urgent intelligence, or the fact that his son-in-law — who has been unable to obtain a security clearance — does.

Does the uncleared Kushner still have that secret back channel communication line using Russian Embassy equipment set up to the Kremlin?

And to believe Congressional Republicans were so concerned with Hillary Clinton’s confidential e-mails they held a zillion hearings on the topic.

Is it a surprise to ANYONE the "Grab 'em by the pussy" Trump Administration has a wife abuser on the payroll? To serve on the Trump team you need to have Russian connections, lie on your resume, believe in conspiracy theories, be a pedophile, doubt science, and now to be spouse abuser or at least supportive of abusers.

The picture, if you haven’t seen it, shows Colbie Holderness, one of two ex-wives who have accused senior White House aide Rob Porter of physically abusing them. Porter, in the statement announcing his resignation Wednesday, declared that “these outrageous allegations are simply false.

Explain the Rob Porter story. Any of it.

I like that he worked at a company that was processing illegal steroids from China and submitted multiple different resumes.
Only hires THE BEST!

Oh to be 24 years old and making 6 figures in a government job.

White House to withdraw environmental pick's nomination

Report: Nominee who called belief in climate change a ‘kind of paganism’ to be dropped

Hartnett White, who would have overseen environmental and energy policies across the government, had described the belief in “global warming” as a “kind of paganism” for “secular elites” during a 2016 interview.

Hartnett White appeared on “The Right Perspective,” an online conservative radio show, in September 2016 when she made the comments talking about a “dark side” to belief in global warming.
“There’s a real dark side of the kind of paganism — the secular elites’ religion now — being evidently global warming,” she said.

Only the best whack-a-doodles!

Seems the EPA chief doesn't like riding in coach much. Like everyone else who serves in the Trump Cabinet, Scott Pruitt is corrupt. For these people, flying coach is akin to being asked to clean a toilet or take out the trash. Those tasks are best left for the little people aka Trumpsters.

Just days after helping orchestrate the United States’ exit from a global climate accord last June, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt embarked on a whirlwind tour aimed at championing President Trump’s agenda at home and abroad.

On Monday, June 5, accompanied by his personal security detail, Pruitt settled into his $1,641.43 first-class seat for a short flight from the Washington DC to New York City. His ticket cost more than six times that of the two media aides who came along and sat in coach, according to agency travel vouchers; the records do not show whether his security detail accompanied him at the front of the plane.

The scam continues. He doesn't give a f* about his base. Most have no clue he even has a budget. As long as he stops the people from shithole countries from immigrating and let all those waiting Norwegians to come except they have zero interest in going backwards in time. You won't even be able to eat just die on the streets with no food and no health insurance. All those dotard voters are about to find out "poor" isn't just their favorite code word for "black."

President Trump proposed a budget Monday that hits the poorest Americans the hardest, slashing billions of dollars in food stamps, health insurance and federal housing subsidies while pushing legislation to institute broad work requirements for families receiving housing vouchers, expanding on moves by some states to require recipients of Medicaid and food stamps to work.

The Trump budget proposal would gut the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, better known as food stamps, by $17.2 billion in 2019 — equivalent to 22 percent of the program’s total cost last year. It calls for cuts of more than $213.5 billion over the next decade, a reduction of nearly 30 percent, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.

“This budget proposes taking away food assistance from millions of low-income Americans — and on the heels of a tax cut that favored the wealthy and corporations,” said Stacy Dean, president for food assistance policy at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. “It doesn’t reflect the right values.”
