No drumroll needed for this epilogue to Election 2016.

Last week, the widely respected 2016 American National Election Study was released, sending political scientists into a flurry of data modeling and chart making.

The ANES has been conducted since 1948, at first through in-person surveys, and now also online, with about 1,200 nationally representative respondents answering some questions for about 80 minutes. This incredibly rich, publicly funded data source allows us to put elections into historical perspective, examining how much each factor affected the vote in 2016 compared with other recent elections.

The winning HAS started... for Trump and his family, for Trump's wealthy cronies, for the well connected and the NEW swamp dwellers... all of whom are laughing all the way to the fkng BANK.

And to make SURE the public is kept in the dark on who he's dishing out favors to:

The Trump administration announced Friday that it will not follow former president Barack Obama's policy of voluntarily disclosing the names of most visitors to the White House complex, citing “grave national security risks and privacy concerns.”

The announcement — from an administration that has faced pointed questions about its commitment to transparency — marks a significant shift from the Obama White House, which released the names of nearly 6 million visitors, including scores of lobbyists.

Trump will keep list of White House visitors secret

Sometimes you read this stuff and have to do a double-take when you think about the the stunning in-your-face corruption that is clearly happening. All his appointments are from industry charged with regulating the industry they just came from which essentially means there will be none. Their rewards for helping their former bosses will be enormous and the cost to the public equally enormous but hey it's just the price of making America Great Again.

**GASP** My, aren't you the quick study.

So the study was released last week. Whatever anyone's "feelings" are it should be backed by data which is what was released last week.

^ and was we sail right past the 100 day mark Trump and Friends are desperately looking for some semblance of success they can point to. All the exaggerations and lies are coming due. This is the part in private life Trump would drive the business into bankruptcy leaving the investors holding the bag. This time it's the entire nation that will be left holding the bag.

Hundred days, smundred days, eh Don? In his case, more like a hundred DAZE. Meanwhile, back at the RANCH:

Why Donald Trump invited a racist celebrity to the White House.

"Then there’s Nugent, who made racism his signature during the Obama years.

In 2012, he wondered if it would have been better for the Confederacy to have won the Civil War, thus saving “limited government.”

In 2013, he blasted Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton for speaking in “Ebonic mumbo-jumbo.”

That same year, writing for right-wing conspiracy website World Net Daily, Nugent blamed Trayvon Martin’s death on “the same mindless tendency to violence we see in black communities across America.”

He later called Martin a “dope smoking, racist gangsta wannabe.”

On Twitter, he’s called Obama supporters “subhuman varmints,” adding that “Pimps, whores & welfare brats & their soulless supporters have a president to destroy America.”

Most infamously, he denounced Obama himself as a “subhuman mongrel.”

And this is not to detract from a litany of misogynist, homophobic, and anti-Semitic comments.

That is who [Trump] brought to the White House. And like other presidential meetings, it means something."

EPA to drop 3,000 jobs as Upper Midwest gets its reward for helping Trump

"... Trump’s proposed cutbacks to the Environmental Protection Agency may include the closure of the agency’s regional office in Chicago, a move that could undermine the agency’s ability to monitor pollution in the Great Lakes and curtail its ability to implement enforcement actions against coal-fired power plant owners in the six-state region. …

Under the administration’s plan, 3,000 EPA employees nationwide would lose their jobs. Closing the Chicago office, and eliminating its 1,000 positions, would help accomplish that goal."

Another anti-Trump march. Of course the march could just as well be anti-conservative as the entire platform as possible. As long as it's truthy enough.

London (CNN)Crowds of people are marching Saturday in the United States and around the world in support of science and evidence-based research in a protest fueled by opposition to President Donald Trump's environmental and energy policies.

March for Science: Worldwide protests begin to support 'evidence'

Remember the lie how we couldn't see his taxes because he was under audit? I guess the audit is going to run his entire presidency.

Anyone who has been paying the slightest attention knows by now that this president and this White House intend to play by their own set of rules — rules that in some cases come close to breaking the law and, at the very least, defy traditions of conduct and transparency Americans have come to expect from their public servants.

Mr. Trump Plays by His Own Rules (or No Rules)

It's all about policy with Trumpsters - not his character or his morality. Character and policy are not intertwined. I'd vote for Howard Stern for president (Trump's best friend). Hey, birds of a feather flock together.

Hell, I would have voted for Hitler if he had come out against abortion. How about you? Hitler had family values, right?

Trump is a born-again Christian - a babe in Christ (as said by an evangelical loon in my neck of the woods).
