I've read and read and looked (and sometimes drooled) about penis sizes.
Photoshop is a wonderful tool, and I'm not naieve enough to believe everything I read (or even see), but where there's smoke, there has to be fire!
I've read scientific research/surveys that say the difference in the average black man's penis, and that of the average white man's just isn't much.

How does one differentiate between truth and fact on this topic, without personally measuring every cock on the planet?

the truth is that people want to buy into these stereotypes for a number of reasons, so certain myths continue to persist and are even propagated in our pop culture and pornography. the fact is that statistics, especially when repeated over different independent studies, don't lie that often and so there probably isn't that much of a difference on the whole.

i've always wondered if there's something to the size in flaccid state that gives this stereotype its origins. i could see from an evolutionary standpoint why penises in their "inert" state would naturally tend to hang lower in warmer climates (ie: Africa) but pull up higher towards the core body heat in colder temperatures (ie: Europe). sort of an anthroprological case of shrinkage.

I don't think there is any ethnic differentiation in erect penis size.

However, I think that black men are more likely (which is not the same as certain) to have larger flaccid penises than other races.

One reason could be that 'black' people generally orginate from warmer climes. Other races such as Caucasians with Germanic or Anglo ancestry come from colder climes.

And since warm temperatures give a better 'hang' and colder temperatures tend to shrink the flaccid peen it seems likely (?).

But that's just speculation on my part.

is it more of an american stereotype than anywhere else that blacks are soo much bigger? if so, consider this (the hitler comment made me think of this, as hitler tried to make a superior race): most black americans are the descendants of slaves from the 1500's-1800's. during those 300 or so years, the slave owners wanted the biggest and strongest slaves possible to be born into their ownership, so they would force the biggest and most muscular man and woman they owned into mating. over 300 years, black americans became understandably a bit bigger and more muscular than whites. along with bigger and more muscular bodies come bigger penises, naturally. i wonder if the black men's penises in places where slavery was never a fixture are as those of american black men. and therefor, if the stereotype is as valid or as commonly believed.

I think that this entire thread, like so many on this site, speaks to an unhealthy fixation on a pretty meaningless human characteristic. We should be providing each other counseling and helping ourselves to work through this fixation because it's a waste of time and I'd bet that it's causing dysfunction. What would you say about a group of people tripping about whether hearing sensitivity of Asians is greater than Latinos?
