At least once you know it is actually a robot, you understand why it doesn't go into the water.

I could be-although most modern robots are made of rustproof shells.
Or perhaps I'm talking about the circuitry...
(or perhaps something else entirely)
And here I thought this thread was about traffic lights... but then again, I just returned from South Africa.

I don't think so.
Ah, but what if it does know? Then what are we to do? After all it may be holding the key to blissful eternity and knowing it's a robot may cause it to implode-as robots are known to do.
Depends on the workmanship.
