Sure, I understand. But the whole purpose of a sex tour is not to think of the misery.
Sure, it's nice to be white, wealthy, and from another country where you can go back to your suburban wealthy lifestyle and share drinks with the other jerks where you come from sharing stories about your conquests over the lower classes.
Personally I also think selling one's body is a normal way to survive if you're living in a slum.
It's normal because the wealthy oppressors come in and pay money to poor people for sex. All you do is prolong the misery.
I see sex tourism as a form of international aid. Seriously. Prostitutes bring in more money for their families than they otherwise could, even when they're pimped by a cruel motherfucker.
No, it's not aid. It's prolonging misery. If you really were going to give true aid, you would give to an agency like mine who is working to help these people to get off the streets, get an education, get to work in something skilled, seek drug treatment, seek medical treatment, seek psychotherapy when needed, and empower their neighbors to improve their lives when they start businesses where no one else would dare to...
In normal life my pals and I are quite generous and socially conscious. We only do this for two weeks a year; the rest of the year we spend making other assholes rich.
So you are good for 50 weeks per year making others rich. Then you can go to other countries to exploit another society's poor like the rich assholes you have made rich. Am I reading this right? So, it's just to abuse the lower classes in another country by buying them for sex prolonging their misery because you've been "good" all year.
I see this as a normal distribution of evil. Everyone receives and gives a bit of it. I only wish the top of the pyramid was sanctioned a bit more.
It's a very comforting justification that holds no weight. Not all evil acts are equal. Some have more heinous consequences than others.
In any case, checking out the ghetto and its risks will be part of the fun. After all, the street ritual is the same, everywhere. All slums are equally exciting!
It's exciting when you get to go back to your wealthy and safe European neighborhood. It's not exciting when you cannot leave because you have no other options.
Don't be surprised if Lady Karma bites you on the ass when you are out doing "exciting" things.
