The Woods Campground

The Woods in in central Pennsylvania, USA.

I was just invited to spend Labor Day weekend there this summer. It was described as a fun place, but I don't go to clothing-optional destinations.

Has anyone been there?

What should I expect?

Recommend it or not?

I have not been there, but it is my experience that being naked is good for the soul. ...and the self-esteem, once you see what real bodies look like naked.

I used to live about 20 minutes from there, however, I have only been there once. From my experience, most people were wearing clothes, including myself. I don't do nudity. Ha ha.

When I was there, I had fun and would go again.

I think I go to the same place Dave does. Been going for six years and love it! You'll find that if everybody is naked, it is no longer a bit deal and for the most part, it's ignored. If like somebody wrote above, most people have clothes on, then everybody is going to be staring at the naked people probably. That's what I love about the place I go - only the two or three people wearing bathing suits get stared at (ironic since they're probably worried that people will stare at them!)
I say go and check it out! If hardly anybody is really naked, then you can leave your clothes on if you want. If everybody's naked, then strip down too and experience how awesome it is to hang out naked outside all weekend!

I've not been to that one, but have been to a clothing optional campground before. The one I was at had a good mix of ages and body types. No attitudes or shame or anything and all incredibly nice, welcoming people. Made some new friends too. I'd say go for it and go with an open mind and have fun.

I've done public nudity activities before, but it was special....
there was alcohol, friends, and a hot tub. I've been to a beach, but I kept my clothes on. Just wondering what to expect before I somehow might get offended or uncomfortable.

What me friends described sounds fantastic.
I just want to make sure I prepare myself mentally in the instance there's something I should have expected. I still plan on going. :biggrin1:

When I lived in San Diego (1978 - 1994), I often went to a nude beach. On weekends, there were often thousands of nude people there. It's no problem, few people pay any attention to the nudity.

It's too bad that there isn't something like that around here.

I was there with some friends a couple years ago.The pool was filthy,lots of drugs,alcohol and icing on the cake was all the trolls lurking around drooling.
It is not my favorite place to go........

That doesn't sound like the sort of place where I would like to go.

The clothing optional beach in San Diego had less of a problem with alcohol than other beaches in the area.
