That was the mid-80s, not the mid-90s. Mid-90s you'd have probably Windows 95 (not coincidentally named) or Windows 3.1.
Apple was founded and released the original Apple I in 1976. They released the Mac in 1984 (by 1987 they'd sold over a million).
They hyperbole is thick here. A tendency to exaggeration probably isn't going to help the case you want to make.
