ten year challenge or something? I've noticed it out of the corner of my eye but haven't paid much attention to it.

Yeah, I be guilty of a bit of Yahoo now and then Tex. Where would Texas be if not for the Yahoos of Rodeos and striking Oil?

As a matter of fact....where would this place be without the oddball or yahoo?

Yes....Batshit...as exciting as.

I just hope you know I turn down sex with a very good looking green eyed woman to converse with you guys..................she understands my kink of habitual posting once a fortnight....:) :)

What do you do with the rest of your 13 days, and nights?

It's all over IG. I think it's kinda stupid but I can see why some people are into it. It's not necessarily about looks (for a lot of people obviously it is, but let me finish...)

A lot of makeup artists are documenting their progress on their skills, posting before/after photos of people they've worked on who aren't themselves. That's not being conceited, that's being proud of your work.

Then there are some people who are just really sentimental and like looking back and getting all nostalgic about stuff.

There are some fucking HILARIOUS ones too. Trolling is lovely when done properly.

I don't take many pics of myself, so I'm not participating in the silliness... But yeah .Those are my thinks on it all :)

*looks at me ten years ago* I got to admit the change is pretty staggering.

I like me both ways. I am much better at putting on "pretty" makeup these days. Back in the day I was strictly gore-geous.

Ten years from now... I hope the contouring and highlighter phase will be gone and almost forgotten. I am so fucking sick of shiny people.

I did the first FB and recent FB profile challenge. I wear glasses now. Plus, I can get the senior’s meal at Smitty’s.

It cracks me up when the young ones do it. Ok, well you look exactly the same. Different hair. 20 to 25 isn’t exactly a startling change!

Perhaps it would be better if we posted all the good things we did in the past ten years which made a difference to human life..................but that sounds pretty ordinary compared to a bit of human vanity.

Geeze, go back to the days when a zit erupted on your face at the most inopportune time...... twas the end of the world.

But my list would be sooooo long!

Actually, I don’t know I did it so much out of vanity than out of curiosity. It gave me an opportunity to cruise down memory lane, think about where I was back then, how I’ve progressed, changed, what I’ve done and where I might be in another 10 or 15 years.

I don’t consider myself vain. I’ve always put more store in my intellect and developing as a person, but pictures sure can remind us where we’ve been. I take lots - I’m just in so few since I tend to be the photographer!

Here's one of me mid seventies..most of the photos from those years were destroyed by my first wife when she was diagnosed manic depressive. Pretty hectic years for a while....

Shake it, shake it, shake it like a polaroid picture .....And what did young people do with this new invention of instant photographs....take naughty pics...what else :) :)

My parents are in their early 80s. I remember when they were ludicrously, disproportionately happy that they’d reached the age of 55, because that was the “senior citizen” threshold age at Shoney’s.

:joy:

NCbear (who’s still amused after nearly three decades)

P.S. They were also extremely baby-faced—they looked like they were in their early 40s for 25 years—so they were constantly carded at Shoney’s when they claimed the discount. :joy:

I always get ID’d for discounts. I guess I’m a baby-faced 55, too. :)
