I always learned a gold star gay was a homosexual who never had contact with a vagina since is birth and a platinum gay was a homosexual who had no contact with a vagina not even his mother’s (caesarean birth.)
We never considered it an award to attain or anything serious. Nothing meant to be insulting to women or trans men. It was just a funny label for someone who only had sex with men and considered themselves 100% gay.
I recently hooked up with a trans man and so yes I’m no longer a gold star gay but I still consider myself a gay man. I consider him a gay man too.
Well you can get an erection even if you're not sexually attracted to something. Morning wood is an example of that. Also, you can be sexually attracted to someone and not get an erection. But, what was off putting to me about it is the way you worded it.
It's not related to the topic but saying that "if you're hard and blowing a load you must enjoy what is happening" seems kinda messed up. What about guys who are victims and don't/can't consent? Are they enjoying it?

I can appreciate the “haha” reactions. Believe me I understand your point of view having shared it.
It’s just that having met a few trans men and after the experience I had with one, I can honestly say I still feel I’m gay. Perhaps not 100% homosexual but I feel really no different than before.

Its literally how the biology of this works.
If a woman is forcing herself on a man or a guy is being used for anal sex against his will and he forms a solid erection, there is some form of positive stimulation. Its just the way the body works.
Morning wood is also an autonomic nervous system and exactly as I was saying - you can't just turn erections on and off at will.

The history of the term specifically in the thread is deep and you would have to go back screens to read the long discussions about it, talking about how the Kinsey scale was meant to reflect where you are now versus your entire life and so on - it got deep and in the weeds
And I agree - sex with a trans guy by a gay man makes him no less gay...and certainly from a pleasure perspective can be incredibly hot.

I agree it used to be synonymous to homosexual but it seems at least to me that the term gay is beginning to take on more of a “sexually open“ definition similar to queer (a term I still don’t like).
