Because they doing it with other men but if they do it to women they won’t say nothing

And if a male police officer, teacher, construction worker, janitor, farmer did it with other men on tape; and not women. How would this be any different ? My point is that . Shaming is not limited to bodybuilders , at least in 2019

Any sources you can link interested readers to? I ask because as someone whose been around the sport of BodyBuilding for the last 23 years, your contention has not been my experience.

I do know that BB can be an expensive time-consuming sport. Especially when it pretty much becomes a full-time job for those who seek to compete at the highest levels. And not a lot of them have sponsors to help with expenses. Those usually come once you get that elusive PRO card.

I have known a few guys who have paid to have worship sessions with certain high-level BBs. Some of these BBs have girlfriends. Some of the payees do too.

But I can't say that I've encountered the homophobia you speak of. Perhaps what's done "in secret" is not an issue. But if you come out, a la Bob Paris, it is?

It happens. With the amount of food, gear, sups, gym fees, and other costs, I had to take second job twice a week as stripper. I was recommended for it by other beers in gym. After a while, you get used to being the only guy walking around in a club in his underwear or posers. You better have a lot of confidence in yourself.

Probably what I think he meant is mostly by the casual admirers, fans, gym goers. Example the many miscelleanous users from bodybuilding.com.

Straight, Bi, or Gay in the sport of bodybuilding no matter at what level whether armatures in the gym or on stage, haters are going to hate... sure you have some guys that sell themselves out for money but what it comes down to is people are jealous, they want what you've worked for without putting in the work to get it themselves.

I'm not convinced about the "bodybuilding is expensive so I'll whore myself out" rhetoric. Not 100% convinced at least.

I think most men who become bodybuilders are a different breed of men. Exhibitionism and a more sexualised nature in them are certainly higher levels than you'll find then in ordinary men.
The leap from posing nearly naked on stage to private muscle worship and/or escorting isn't a long one. All of them provide sexual gratification and ego boost for the bodybuilder.

Bodybuilding and sensual personalities go hand in hand. A sensual activity like bodybuilding attracts a specific breed of men to undertake this activity.

Probably the most expensive part of bodybuilding revolves around often missed opportunities. I'm speaking mostly anecdotally from my experiences as well as the limited exposure I've had of serious bodybuilders. I'm small in size and quite frankly I'll never be on a stage because I have a job and career that requires not only thinking on the job, but thinking of the job while off of work. A successful, competitive bodybuilder has to stay focused on his workouts and diet not only while in the gym, but outside the gym as well. He can't have a job that requires him to spend extra time and thought outside the 8 hour work day. So the type of job he has is often one that does not pay very well. Now I don't mean to over generalize or offend the competitive bodybuilder out there who is a physician by day, but I think one can get my train of thought.

Unfortunately homophobic haters do indeed exist Isiahsin434. I know what you are referring to as I have seen the ridiculous comments made by such persons at big.com in threads concerning Chris Dickerson's past stellar achievements. Such as "He shouldn't have been awarded title 'x' " and "Bodybuilder 'y' should have gotten the title instead" because "C.D. was gay" and/or "did gay porn". In more recent times they certainly would be part of those opposed to the end result of any bodybuilding, beauty and fitness competition and choose to disparage the winner. As bothhands stated "haters are going to hate" - including the homophobic ones.
