Not all of them do. but the ones who resort to drama queenery are usually afflicted by bloated egos and daddy issues and emotionally stunted immaturity. they possess a kind of callow, petulant unhappiness and they want to make damn sure that you're unhappy too.

btw, I don't put up with a second of that shit. I screen women, and men, for good character, and if they fail--they're gone, chopped out. Life's too short and self respect is too important

When I looked up high maintenance in the straight dictionary there was a picture of Kim Kardashian.

Okay, your avatar is a well-shopped cartoon. Your old avatar was easier to spot as a cartoon. Now I guess I am obliged to actually see what you keep in the gallery, if anything.

Maybe I should just bring back Brian as my avatar. He suits me.

I took my gallery down. Certain shades of limelight are just not good for the soul.

I would go with OhWiseOne's response.

More generally, I've been looking into Abraham-Hicks philosophy of the moment, and the basic tenet that if a thing does not increase your joy even to think of, it's better not to go with it. Martyrdom leads to misery and is contagious.

Earl, you are good-lookin!
Did Yoda just agree with me? I am now a Jedi.....

Is that the dog from "The Family Guy"? I've never even met you and I think about you every time I see him (today, in fact...muted...while on the elliptical trainer).

I also remember your gallery, way back when, and seem to remember enjoying it....

The past is slowly killing my soul, but I was not the only maker of those decisions sometimes. It seems that inner reflection and analization of the past crush me. I have never taken the easy path nor do I want to. Perhaps the path more so than the past is the soul sucker

Worry erodes my soul....not that there isn't actually something to worry about, it's just that worry will do nothing to change it. I must stop worrying. Can't afford the Botox to hide the lines!

As an aside, I'd like to point out I also avoid emotional vampires. They make me tired. I work on being emotional helium. I like to make my friends & lovers float. High squeaky voices optional.'

And Earl, cartoon or not - you is gorgeous. Shame we have to slap a touque on ya when you come up North!

I think I posted that others find me attractive.

Yup, Brian from the Family Guy, I share a certain kinship with that character - a sarcastic, nihilistic, smart ass dog with too much education but nothing to show for it.

Geez you people have memories like elephants.

Yes, I am beautiful in every single way, thank you LaFemme. Oy.

Emotional Vampires huh?, isn't it a natural inclination to avoid people that suck the life out of you?

Femme, I will proudly wear a touque as I am now an official Canadian citizen. Besides, it will cover my rapidly balding head. Now where's that curling stone, aye.

-soul-less music such as tech-step, happy hardcore, and most pop music made after the year 2000....

-being in social settings where a room full of people are only making small talk and doing/saying ridiculous shallow things to be the centre of attention....

-reality television

-observing random acts of stupidity....

-taking the time to be taught important lessons by people who do not practice what they preach....

-pretending i have real connections with fake people just to be nice....
