Or in a new area.

Here in Florida you see "wet umbrella bags" as you enter Walmart or Supermarkets. In NJ I never saw that.

Yes, I thought that was oddly considerate when I first moved to Georgia a year ago. Also, the baggers in the grocery store will actually take the cart to your car AND put your bags in the trunk and not ask for a tip!

On rainy days our local Wal-Mart puts out rolls of paper towels so you can wipe off the cart. Kroger & Publix have anti-bacterial wipes as you enter the store by the cart corral. Odd, but much appreciated by a germ-a-phobe like me.

I don't know if this happens somewhere else, but here in utah women and men wear sandals with cotton socks:261:

Oft seen at coastal resorts all over Britain, usually teamed with sporty shorts and a smart short sleeved shirt in contrasting colour, worn by men of about 65+. And they say we don't have style!

Common to Central NJ and sometimes Boston: You know it's winter when you see men in burgundy sweatpants, thick socks, and work boots, with a thermal shirt and sports team Starter jacket on top.

The vehicle requirements here are lower then in some locations for older cars, we use less road salt, and it is generally a drier climat causing less rust. due to this and many other weird reasons you'll find cars of almost any age (within reason) friving on the road. A car from the 60s or 70s isnt always a show car and a new car is almost as common as an old car.

There's a bodega somewhere in NYC where you can buy individual cigarettes, vanilla dutch, and white owls... for the days when you have to smoke/blaze, but can't afford a pack.

here, the city itself resembles a suburb, I've never seen that before, so there isn't anything unique, is just one greenish hell.

Protesters who chain themselves to trees.

People stretching and doing Yoga on train platforms.

Construction workers who eat sushi for lunch.

In Florida there are liquor stores everywhere and alcohol is sold in supermarkets and convenience stores and in stores next to Walgreens. in NJ you can only buy alcohol in liquor stores and bars/clubs.
