I’m no expert or a very good writer either. But my suggestion would be just go for it and post it. If it turns you on, there’s a fair chance that somebody else might be turned on to it to.
If it’s to edgy the only thing that could go wrong is one of the mods will trash it.

Basically if you wrote a book with characters like Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series and but substitute Bella for a teen boy, you'd have a hit. Just swap out the vampires and werewolves for whatever genre you are writing!
