Oh..and since you're fearing things, fear what influences the United States will attempt to spew over into Canada

Personal attacks and religion are often the death knell for Canadian politicians. So I'm not too worried. Canada, because of it's small population in comparison to the US gets dragged along economically. If the US economy is doing well we usually are too so in that respect, I don't thing Trump would help the economy at all.

You know, the heck with the debate.

If ANYBODY wants to see the marked contrast between Hillary and Donald Trump, especially when it comes to class and dignity, or in Trump's case, the LACK thereof, all one need do is look at the video of the Alfred Smith charity event, a fund raising event for a worthy cause, set up in a "comedy roast" format.

And yes, the jokes were pre written and (reportedly) previewed by the candidates, but ONE at least had class enough to skip those she thought went TOO far. Trump, on the other hand, delivered what ended up as a mean spirited personal attack that FEW there found amusing.

He started okay, and his lines brought laughter from those in attendance, from Hillary... I was laughing too. Hell, it's a ROAST.

But some ten and a half minutes into his spot, when he said "Hillary is so corrupt..." smiles literally faded from faces and the air seemed sucked from the room. (Well, except from "the don" of course.)

One could hear a pin drop for much of the rest of his monologue (that is when they weren't booing), and the cardinal, at one point fervently wiping his brow, seemed to offer words of solace to Hillary, while many of the faces of those in the background bore a pained expression.

It was an incredible thing to watch, saved only by the CLASS ACT that Hillary, in contrast, followed with.

IMO, anyone who, after watching this, STILL doesn't know who's best qualified to be America's President... well... say no more.

Watch Trump and Hillary try to be funny at Alfred Smith charity event.
