There was a show on the discovery channel about a guy who wanted to jump out of a plane and land without a parachute. He wanted to land in some elaborate tube-ramp that was designed to allow his angled descent to come to a gradual stop, on the strip in Las Vegas. supposedly, he was looking for more sponsors to build the ramp and some more dry runs on mountains. It was speculated to be able to happen in 2009

A group of us climbed a mounatin once, and when i looked down into the semi-active crater i just about passed out?..and that was sort of a gentle slope into the crater/not a direct drop.yuk i am i sure would have had a H attack if it was.

Absolutely incredible. It must take great skill to do something like that. I jumped out of an airplane last year (with parachute) but this looks far more advanced.
