It's because if snow were warm, it would drift up instead of falling down. Maybe there is warm snow and we just never see any of it because none of it falls down to us.

Yeah, and cleaning up after the rabbit was such a nuisance. (Of course, they eat their own poop, but eventually they leave something behind.)
