When you say roll play games, you mean like RPG. Either X box , PC, playstation ect. If so then yes, I do did.. I was seriously hooked on Everquest and then Everquest 2 upon it's release. Played them for over ten years. I finally stopped my subscription this past Jan. after many frustrations over character development. My main toon' was a ranger, but without getting into boreing detail no one wanted to have rangers in their group or raid parties. Sony Online Entertainment.
WoW = World of Warcraft has overtaken Everquest now probably. You ever seen the South Park episode featuring WoW, it's hilarious , at least to us quasi serious gamers..

Ah , ok then, about star trek.. I remember the REAL original star trek series had an early episode where two then famous actors were guest starring. I think one of them was a Hot Sally Kellerman. Somehow she and the other guest star was doing a Federation job when somehow they got possessed or somehow turned into a super race of beings who could even mentally see and control people and inanimate objects. For some reason they didn't want the enterprise to leave so they mentally caused a large cable to levitate and strangle some crew member who was vital for the job at hand. The cable floated and pulled the guy over the control panel that he was working on. The actor was wearing knit pants and there was VPL and a huge nutsack bulge no one could overlook dead center on the TV screen. How the censors didn't see cock and balls as he was flailing backwards over the console I don't know. I was drinking a glass of milk, some of which shot out of my nose while I was watching that part.

I remember the original Star Trek from its first time around: it was one of my mother's favorite shows, plus years in syndication. I was a late-comer to TNG and always had mixed feelings about it; it's so fucking geeky  Plus, having Wesley Crusher save the ship on every episode got really tired really fast.

I never warmed up to DS9 but was/am a massive fan of Voyager. There's something extremely erotic about the Borg, at least as they were presented on that show.

I agree with TomCat84 that Enterprise was very underrated. I think that the lack of techno-gizmos like Holodecks and replicators probably turned off a lot of Trekkies, but I found that it allowed the writers to focus more on characters than endless star battles. I find it fascinating that Roddenberry projected a utopianistic future of world peace only to have space filled with nearly constant conflict.

I've never been a gamer at all. I'd rather watch porn

I like Star Trek. I was a big fan of TOS, DS9 and TNG, in that order. I never watched Voyager, but I tried to watch Enterprise. Enterprise was one of the most stupid shows I had ever seen.

The new movie was fun. They ruined Kirk's character though.

I like the occasional video game RPG, if the battle system is interesting at least. I've never played a pen and paper RPG.

Bbucko I'm shocked:eek:

I think gaming is kinda generational and it skipped mine. By the time Nintendo came out, I was already deep into my 20s and it always seemed like something kids do (much like skate-boarding).

About three years ago I very briefly dated a guy who was 24 years my junior, a Mensa member with no common sense whatsoever. He would play a video game while we watched DVDs or nearly anything else that didn't involve sleep or sex.

I've watched them all.

I think the new Star Trek movie captured Kirk's character quite well, actually, and added depth to Uhura and Chekhov (both characters whose development in earlier entities were rather two dimensional).

As for RPG's, hated 'em. Enuf' "roles" to deal with in real life, I imagine. FPS for me.

<BOOM!!> "AHRGGG!!"

"Ourk ourk... ourk ourk..."

(BTW, why would any of this seem "odd"?)
