I am interested in wearing men’s thongs but I still live with my parents/family. Do you think its usual for guys to wear em AND do you think my teammates might question it if I wear it in the locker room?

Im 18 and straight but I've had many curiousities / kinks that some people tell

I would wear a jock rather than a thong if you’re concerned about comments in the locker room.

I like thongs too, but I'm smooth and a btm. I however do not wear them in non-sexual settings like a looker room where I have to be undressed with other non-gay people. That's just a bit too far for me. But I have worn jockstraps in that setting, and that's what I'd recommend for you to start pushing your limits.
 
I love them. They make me feel sexy and I like the look. I’ll wear them often to the gym, strip down before I shower and put a clean pair on afterwards. I’m not worried about what anyone thinks, but I have had more positive comments than negative over the years.

Go for it! I find it sexy when men wear thongs as much as jockstraps. I find it really sexy when a man feels comfortable and confident with his body and feels confident on his masculinity and femininity.
 
So, there is certainly still a stigma around men wearing them but becoming more the norm. At the end of the day, wear what you enjoy and makes you feel good. Maybe don’t go strutting around locker rooms in just your thong but equally don’t hide it. People may judge, but that’s more their insecurities speaking than yours. It’s just underwear at the end of the day. Yes, perhaps more on the sexy side but if we all enjoyed the same things, the world would be a dull place.

To be honest, I wear my thongs everyday, all day and love it. I do change in the gym but don’t hide the fact I’m either wearing one or changing into a fresh one. I have almost certainly had a look or two, but nee had anything said, or an obvious snigger or giggle. Maybe after I left, but who cares.

As I say, do what you feel is the best bit of you, and you’ll be grand.

Simple answer is you should wear what you feel like ,
But yes there is still an initial stigma, no where near what it could be.

I'd say keep the styles a bit basic , blacks,greys and cotton types nothing fancy or see thru,neon, lol, they're just briefs with a small back really.

What do you wear regularly, maybe going from boxers to thong might look a jump ,try some tanga briefs and work your way down, so those that see you regularly aren't as surprised.

Teammate wise if you don't mind them knowing you wear one,and jokes that will go with that it's fine but definitely play it down,

Alternatively go commando all time if/when they complain ,compromise on a thong lol

Totally agree. Men aren’t typically told that they’re allowed to feel sexy in underwear - whereas I think they should feel that way. Thonger here too - got some questioning looks before at the gym in mine, but listen - better to raise a few eyebrows I guess?😂

Unfortunately, there is a stigma around men wearing thongs. However, it shouldn't matter if you are gay or straight - wear what you like and what makes you feel comfortable. It will be a confidence-building exercise...and you should probably expect at least a comment or two in the beginning, especially if around people who see the change.

Wear whatever you like. There will be guys who will crude comments, so expect that. I have very little body hair including my pubes. As an athlete in school, I changed clothes and showered in front of other guys who made crude comments about my lack of public hair. While in college I decided to shave what little body hair I have. I have no body hair below my eyebrows. I occasionally get comments but at my age, I don't give a sh*t what someone thinks or says. You have to do what is right for you.

If you have the body for it than I would say go for it. First time I wore backless briefs at the golf club locker room I got a bunch of hoots and whistles. I just laughed and said just watch who’s ass the girls in the bar watch. That day I had on a stretch chinos and headed to the 19tj hole the waiters whistled and said look whom is looking sexy today and slapped my ass.
Never heard another negative comment.

Well, I usually go commando at home and when relax but for the gym or if I have to dress up for whatever reason, I wear jocks or thongs… I actually got to wear them because of my previous roommate
