Hi

I've got quite a tight foreskin, in that it doesnt retract over the head at all when hard and very rarely when soft. There are no adhesions inside, so its not that its stuck to the head, which I gather can sometimes happen, its just that the opening at the top hasnt really streached very much.

My GP says my options are either
1) if it causes any pain or discomfort, get circumcised
or
2) if it isnt causing any problems, just live with it

So Id pretty much decided just to live with it, as I seem to be getting along fine, however, after watching copious amounts of porn and seing the amount of movement some guys have in their foreskin I'm more envious of that than of size and so on.

Has anyone else here been in this kind of situation and do you have any kind of home remedies to loosen my foreskin up a little?

Youd think the amount of wanking I do it would have streached by now, but no such luck. :)

Ugh. Bloody American doctors....

Do you realize a physician who practiced 30 years at a University in Paris never once refered a case of phimosis to get circumcised?

Tell your doctor to give you a prescription for a topical steroidal ointment like .05% betamethasone. Apply it to the phimotic ring and use two fingers to gently stretch the opening while you're soft. Do this when ever you have time but applying the cream 2x a day for 2-4 weeks should work. Just remember to keep stretching.

How exactly did you go about that?

Ive tried pulling back as far as I can while soft, when peeing etc, but am concious of being careful not to apply too much tension to it when im hard as ive heard stories of tears etc.

The tough ring at the end of your foreskin is very strong - I can pull sideways on mine as hard as I can and it only stings a bit. Use lubrication and time.

Here is mine now:

It has an eggcup inside.
And here it is rolled back and inside-out over a large rubber ring:

Here it is rolled right back on my erection:

And here it is in normal mode:

stvy:

From one Brit to another, I had a similar problem (though not as severe as you describe) and I have to regularly 'stretch' to keep the skin supple. When I was about 22 I used to get small tears in my foreskin after a sex session or even a vigorous solo session. I considered circumcision as the solution but didn't progress it, for which I'm now thankful.

In addition to the ointments and creams that are recommended above you might also try bathing, rather than showering. Sitting in a warm bath, try manipulating the foreskin as far as you can - but don't stretch it to the point of it being painful. Gradually you should find that you get a bit more play with it. Also, when you are masturbating, make sure that you warm your penis up first - don't just go for a quick bash whilst it is cold.

I can retract the skin now, whether I'm erect or flaccid. Like yourself, I've seen videos of guys who can then pull the foreskin a good 1cm back down the shaft whilst masturbating, which would be more comfortable. I can't, the skin goes back to just behind the helmet and that is it, so I normally tend to 'practise' with the skin half over the helmet, rolling backwards and forwards but never off it. However, I never get any problems with skin tears now and it is completely functional.

I'll add to what's already here.

The steroids previously mentioned are quite effective. Since you GP didn't mention steroids in your "options," perhaps you should talk to another doctor?

Stretching the opening w/o steriods might be lengthy. It might take a few weeks to see results. Be patient.

One thing not mentioned: preputioplasty. It's a rather complicated surgery but it preserves the foreskin. Your NHS might balk at the cost, though.

I had the exact same problem when I was growing up.

I ended up getting a circumcision done when I was 26. Let me tell you what....it was the Best decision that I ever made !

Sex was not that great with the skin being that tight. In fact, it was a little uncomfortable. I could stand getting blowjobs either. Some people say that the uncircumcised penis is more sensitive on the head, and makes it more pleasureable. Hell, I don't know where they came from with that thinking ! I couldn't stand getting my cock sucked, because the "Sensitivity" that they talked about, was more like pain with me. I never quite understood why guys enjoyed a blowjob.

Now that I'm circumcised......the feeling is MUCH nicer !!

Now that is just my experience, and many here will tell you about stretching their foreskin, "it's not that bad", etc...., but, there are extremes with this topic, and you may be falling into the same category as myself, and that circumcision is the best option.

If you get a doctor to diagnose you with Phimosis, then insurance will cover the surgery. Also, choose a Urological Surgeon for the procedure, they are the ones that do this the most often.

Someone above posted a link about Phimosis, and this quote from there cracks me up:

"As with any surgery, circumcision is very traumatic to a child. It is essentially irreversible and should be the treatment of last resort."

Trust me, I went through the surgery, and it isn't that bad at all. Just remember, it is only a piece of skin that is being removed. It's not like it's a heart transplant.

So, don't let that the thought of having to go through with the surgery scare you away from having it done. In my experience, that foreskin is just cosmetic, and if you don't like the looks of it, and it's causing you problems, get rid of it. Of course, if for some reason you like the look of your foreskin, then by all means try the creams, stretching, etc.... To set the record straight as well.....I never ONCE have had any infections (kidney, bladder, urethra, etc..) since I've been circumcised for 15 years now. When I was uncircumcised I had a kidney infection when I was a child, so, you can't say that getting circumcised is "dangerous".

...and muscle, and thousands of nerves. For just how much is lost, see "Not just a flap."

It's not like it's a heart transplant.
No, it's more like having a finger joint removed.

This is such a silly question and you've posted it dozens of times. You must like getting responses.

For the sake of others who might read your fake question:

Cutting your skin because it is too tight would be like removing your teeth because they've become too yellow. The simple thing to do is to gently coax it back when ever you get a chance. Soon, like all skin, it will stretch.

But, of course, you know this answer. You just want to compulsively add this question every week or so. You need to be reported.

Some people say that the uncircumcised penis is more sensitive on the head, and makes it more pleasureable. Hell, I don't know where they came from with that thinking !
The very next sentence ...
I couldn't stand getting my cock sucked, because the "Sensitivity" ...
Many pro-cutters say there's little difference in "sensitivity". You've attested that they're wrong.
Someone above posted a link about Phimosis, and this quote from there cracks me up:

"As with any surgery, circumcision is very traumatic to a child. It is essentially irreversible and should be the treatment of last resort."
What part of the quoted text is so outrageous that it "cracks (you) up"?
Of course, if for some reason you like the look of your foreskin, then by all means try the creams, stretching, etc....
In other words circumcision is a "treatment of last resort" as quoted previously.
...I never ONCE have had any infections (kidney, bladder, urethra, etc..) since I've been circumcised for 15 years now.
Most likely you would have remained free of those infections, anyhow.
..., so, you can't say that getting circumcised is "dangerous".
True. Did someone say that it is?

Circumcision could be positive for a few people. Unless it's for survival, that decision should be made with your knowledgeable consent. If you enjoy it, good. Many people who've had it later in life have regretted it.

My foreskin is too tight to get over an erected head... it doesn't bother me one bit... I'm hypersensitive too,.. sometimes my spine jars and body painfully convulses while my hand rubs along the rigid texture of my penis. It's all part of the fun.

You know, there was an asexual, intellectual-only period in my life when I wanted to cut my entire penis off...

...so glad I didn't. :)
