Hello,

I have a rather tight foreskin. When I am fully erect, I am unable to pull my foreskin back. I am worried about this a great deal. (You can see the tightness from the pictures on my profile).

I appreciate that I will have to see someone about this, however I am wondering if anyone that has gone through a similar experience can let me know about how their journey went. I am quite nervous about this whole situation, and would just like to know how other people got on.

Thanks in advance.

That does look quite tight. I similar tight foreskin, suffered with it through most of my twenties. Saw GP a few times and tried some creams but didnt seem to help. In the end circumcision was recommended on NHS. I put if off for years being worried about getting circumcised and how it might look/feel/work afterwards. I found sex very difficult and painful. Really was a big downer on my younger years :(

Since I got circumcised it made sex so much better and has given me a huge confidence boost when playing with other people. Has some negatives though - penis head is alot less sensitive and not to easy to wank with. I found my tight foreskin really enhanced my masturbation pleasure as I knew just how I liked the added tightness sensation. While it was no good for sex (pain/tearing) it did work out for self pleasure. There is quite alot of feeling lost now and the penis head is missing the fine touch sensation.

There is basically two ways to approach this. Stretching or applying creams to your foreskin, or getting circumcised.

Here is my advice:

Speak to your GP about your concerns. Try any creams they recommend, try stretching out your foreskin. If you can get to a situation where you you can improve your foreskin roll back this is the best option. It is something that takes a lot of time and patience and you might not see effects / improvement for a long time and you need to keep at it. See your GP ASAP, dont push it back. It takes a long time to try and resolve tight foreskin so the sooner you can start the better. You may find like me that sex becomes an issue otherwise. Also general cleanliness of the penis is impacted.

If it doesnt work out there is circumcision. It is a nuclear option but it does certainly fix the issue and it does unlock a world of pain free sex which is something truly amazing. My advice would be to try and see if you can resolve tight foreskin issue with your GP if possible first before heading down this path. I am not saying circumcision is bad, but ideally having foreskin that rolls back would be my ideal, and personal recommendation.

I've had similar difficulties as a young teenager. I saw a doctor and he advised me to just take extended baths and play with my foreskin. Stretch it, play with it and always push it back a little bit more. It will take some weeks but i followed his instructions. Every time i went to the toilet, i stretched my foreskin a bit and tried to pull it back more and more. But be careful, don't force it, take little steps. But i highly advise you to take a bath every other day. Relax, stretch your foreskin, play with it and pull it back and forth. Eventually it will become easier and you'll be able to fully pull it back. It will take some more months, but you'll achieve it.
No circumcision necessary. Only thing needed is patience and practice.
Good luck!

Can you pull it all the way back when soft? Mine was very similar to yours when I was younger. I couldn't pull it back at all when erect. I worked around this by pulling it all the way back when I'm flaccid, and even that posed quite a challenge the first few times. I fully retract it and kept it retracted for as long as I could despite the discomfort, then I would roll it back to its natural "covered" position. I did this every chance I got. Eventually I moved on to pulling it back and stimulating myself until I got a semi, then a full erection. I worked through the discomfort and slight pain until it adapted.

That being said you know you best. If the discomfort is too much then don't force yourself. If this does not work then consult your doctor.

Thanks to @SmallButCool, this was the thread I needed, I'm pretty much in the same situation but my foreskin is a bit more stretched out already. I was going to a urologist as a kid and was stretching my foreskin up until like 12 when I was able to pull it down while soft. I just wasn't really good at stretching regularly, I guess I didn't have the motivation when I was a kid. As I was starting to discover my lower areas and porn, I didn't know what to do and was afraid to ask the doctors, they were all women, my GP and the nurse at the urologist are also good friends with my mom so it was really awkward for me. I was terrified of having sex on top of my struggles with sexuality and gays not being accepted where I come from. Still in the closet lol.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in, I kinda feel stupid for not realizing that I need to continue stretching but while hard. I've been following r/TightForeskin for a while, even some posts on stretching and wanted to try it out (again) but only connected all of the dots now. Together with r/averagepenis, Reddit has been my confidence booster that helped me realize that I'm not anything less as my brain often likes to remind me.

My foreskin looked almost exactly like yours does now when I was in my mid teens. Even more severe in the beginning. I didn't even know that it was supposed to retract until I saw my first pornographic content online and realized that the dicks looked different than mine.

I was ashamed of telling my parents or doctor so I did the same that ron88 described and started trying to pull it back with a gentle but insistent amount of force every time I went to the bathroom. Naturally, as the horny teenager I was back then, I would always get hard while doing this, which stretched the foreskin further.

After a few weeks I could get it halfway down my glans and just getting hard would be enough to effectively stretch it (looks a bit stupid though with half of the cock head bulging out of the foreskin). I vividly remember the first time I managed to get it all the way back. The feeling on my cock head was insane and even a slight breeze of air would hurt. But I was also insanely hard and it looked like my purple head was about to explode :D

For at least a year or two after I was able to retract my foreskin completely there was still a noticeable tightness but also that eventually went away completely.

My husband is like you. He cant retract when he is hard. I think penetration is painful for him but he enjoys hand jobs and blow jobs.

I would like to hear and see an update on your condition. I would consider sharing the info with my husband.

There’s guys who have restored their foreskin from being really tightly cut, so it depends on how committed you I believe. I personally hate circumcision unless it is obviously medically needed, if it wasn’t meant to be there, it wouldn’t be! Evolution doesn’t make mistakes.

No doubt it will take a lot of patience and perseverance but you can do it if you are will enough. Interesting (to me at least) fact is the human foreskin when removed is sometimes used for skin grafts and can be used to produce a football fields worth of skin because of the special skin cells.

Seeing how tight it is in your pictures, reading that it hurts when erect, and speaking from the experience of having undergone circumcision as an adult, I will go against the public opinion here and suggest you seek a circumcision as soon as it is suitable for you. If you can afford it, I also very much recommend going private than via the NHS, as the experience is significantly better and you can openly discuss the details of the operation with your surgeon, giving you more control over the cosmetic outcome.

Sure, you can stretch, but it could take months if not years, it is not guaranteed to work and some parts of the foreskin, like the frenulum, do not stretch that easily, so you may still require some form of surgery.

With circumcision you will have a fully functional penis in a few weeks and it is guaranteed to cure and prevent future phimosis. The loss of sensitivity is minimal, there is no change in sexual function and in your case it will anyway improve things dramatically as you will no longer be in pain or discomfort when erect.

The procedure is underrated in many of such cases as it gets a lot of bad press here and in lots of other places, most of which are derived from the routine circumcision debate and the issue of consent. Many people cannot emotionally differentiate between a baby being circumcised without consent and an adult male seeking it as medical treatment.
