your logic is so incredibly fallible. the problem is the age difference. a 19 year old can be attracted to a 17 year old because it’s only a two year difference, that’s literally a senior dating a sophomore kind of difference. a 60 year old being glad a 17 year old is turning 18 IS problematic and disturbing because of the age difference because it’s clear he/she was only waiting for the law to say it was ok.
