Projecting much? He was not the main reason people went to see Dune (or The French Dispatch), suggesting otherwise is ridiculous, those were both ensemble films. He has no record of being a major draw, much less "one of the biggest" as you claimed. And it was especially silly to say just as Bones and All flops at the box office.
Let's be clear on this lol: Are you seriously claiming Timothee Chalamet is not an A-List star and one of (if not the) go-to young male actor(s) under 30 in Hollywood atm?
Because you can argue that he was not the draw for Dune (which is wrong, he and Zendaya were for the general non-scifi geek audience because Dune itself is not a draw), or for an ensemble Wes Anderson movie like The French Dispatch, but did he get butts in seats for both those films? Oh yeah.
Chalamet not wanting to do Uncharted or Red Notice or a MCU property or whatever has not stopped him from being a major star. Doing smaller or arthouse films hasn't stopped him either.

Meanwhile my entire argument from the start has been he has no record of being a major draw at the box office. My argument has no changed a fraction.
It's simple: Is Timothee Chalamet the top young male star in Hollywood in his age range right now? Yes or no? Easy question. And if not, who is?

No, the actual question is whether or not he's a major draw - in fact the original comment was one of the biggest draws in the world. If he was, you or the person who made that claim could've posted box office data to prove it by now. Let's not pretend this is the '90s. The movie business is not what it was thanks to COVID and streaming. Very little out there is making gigantic money if it is not Marvel or an existing IP. So why is Chalamet a star? Why is he starring in Wonka, a major tentpole film that will make megabucks, as the lead character? Why would they put him in that movie if he was not considered a draw, or have him lead a gigantic multi-movie production like Dune (where, yes, sorry, the young stars were the main draw for a general audience that does not give two fucks about Dune) if he was not considered a draw? Just answer one of those questions and I'm good. So far you have run from any question I have posed.
You find Chalamet attractive but are annoyed at people being complimentary of him so you want to bring them down to earth because you think you are providing them with the brutal truth. That's cute. Wrong, but cute. But you did it by replying to a silly suggestion that he should go be on The White Lotus, a TV show he is too big a celebrity for, by laughing at the idea that he was. And then you got yourself in a hole. It happens.

Unfortunately, there's not one. I wish there was one, because a lot of threads have too much of annoyed posts with non-sense debates (if u wanna to consider them as such as debates lol)... Should had a way to choose only pics and videos.
