Let me join the chorus of people here praising Wonka, it's a charming movie and Timothée is gorgeous in it. Captures much of the spirit of Dahl's books and the Gene Wilder classic, and blows the Tim Burton misfire out of the water! Loved the songs.

I'm asking this in good faith: does he have the energy required?

I saw it. 3/5

It was heavy on CGI and lots of cringey / child jokes. This is a children musical so I wasn't expecting much.

I went to see Aquaman (I know, stupid as well) but it was way more entertaining than Wank-a.

Do not waste your money on Wonka, if you want to see Timothy because of it, wait until it comes out in Amazon Prime.

That's your opinion.

I absolutely loved it and I had a fantastic time. I didn't find it cringey.

It's better to let people decide what they want to do...

Watched it 5 times already. Wouldn't miss any chance to see his pretty face on big screen. Yeah he's not a good singer, so does Ryan Gosling in La La Land or Russell Crowe in Les Mis but I found the imperfection and vulnerability in all 3 to be very charming.

Yeah I was expecting a film for the family, but it was very much just a children's film. The jokes were deeply unfunny and some fantastic actors were wasted on terrible characters. Was a 1/5 for me.
