Anyone saw CMBYN's official Instagram page? They're going to replace Armie Hammer with Michael B. Jordan. I think this is good because the film is too white and the sequel of the movie won't win any awards if it's all-white, especially the Oscars because of the new rules. I'm excited for this

I'm all for greater representation and advancing minority rights, but I can't help feeling two Jews doing some clandestine bumming in the AIDS epidemic might tick enough of their diversity and identity politics boxes to qualify.

I've nothing against the sequel having a black lead, or any other POC, but if they do keep a white actor then the whole 'Jews of discretion' thing (I can't remember if it was in the film, but it was definitely in the book) also makes it interesting.

Makes zero sense for the lead to be a black man in a sequel. Just make a different movie.. Seems there is nothing that will satisfy the diversity police unless 100% POC. Look at the prelude to the Oscars on right now. Only black hosts and only interviewing POC.
