Agreed. I’m not any sort of Hammer fanboy, but recasting in general is trash 99% of the time. To do that on top of the already risky undertaking of making a sequel to something so beloved is practically begging for audience backlash. Just leave it be. I’ll take a sequel or prequel to Suspiria (with the original cast used where appropriate) instead.

It would probably be for the best, yeah. The book didn’t need a sequel and the movie doesn’t really need one either. If anything they could give us a director’s cut of the first since they apparently filmed way more than ended up in the final cut.
