So catty. We're all here for Chalamet? Ugh thought this board was clean. Ignored!
nobody was being catty, it’s just you were so loud about how you studied the movie and watched everything with timothee just to be proven wrong, and that’s perfectly fine nobody’s holding it against you.

Timothee was amazing in Dune! He's so sexy and smoldering, I'd give up an organ or something to be with him. He's gonna be a big star (already is kinda), I see him up in the same category of acting as people like Leo DiCaprio, he's just wonderful and immersive in his roles.

I thought it would be the lug that was aquaman that was going to be disappointing. It was not the raban or aquaman. Timothee needs to ramp it up for what is necessary for the future of the character. It’s a hard novel to celluloid and I obviously got the AH!..oh feel from the first lord of the rings film, but that’s what’s to be expected from a franchise I hope gets to breathe. The internal dialogue is hard when it’s not just read, but there’s so much more to the story. I doubt we’ll ever get to duke LetoII, but I hope we get at least as far as the end of the first book.

This is what I was trying to explain to my friend. I've just got back from watching it, and your statement are the words I couldn't find to email my feelings. Loved the film. But I think it'd be hard to enjoy as just a casual movie go'er.

Dune was terrific, and Timothee is a magnetic actor and is able to carry the weight of this huge epic while still feeling personal and intimate—the whole cast honestly was fantastic. I can’t believe they didn’t shoot this back to back to guarantee a part 2… Hollywood is so risk adverse but hopefully this proves a big hit, just such a shame it will probably take years to see what all this world building leads to.
