I would like to know what do you think of men who dye their gray hair and beards?
I've seen more and more men and women talking against that and even judging those who do it. Why?
Even if a consider that gray hair can look sexy, I don't mind if a guy dyes his hair, especially if it makes him look a few years younger.
What's your opinion about it? Would you dye your hair or beard t get rid of the gray?

I have to amit, I look younger with color. But, I had a boss who didn't color. We were the same age and somewhat the same beard. I liked the white on him and now I like the white on me.

each to their own i say, if it makes some feel happier, more confident, more self assured to dye their hair rather than let nature take its course, good for them, there are far worse things to do!!

For me, I'm not vain enough to want or care to dye my hair and whilst when younger hated the thought of going grey or losing my hair, now that both have/are happened/ing, I just own it, but i think that is more to do with older guys just (generally) being more comfortable in their own skins??

I've used the products that reduce, but not eliminate the gray.. My beard is almost white if it is not dyed, so that's where I use a subtle product to keep is salt-and-pepper looking. In a corporate world, I don't want to appear older than I actually am, or to even completely appear to be my actual age, as ageism is very real, and I want to keep my job in an era when layoffs and cuts can happen at any time.

I've answered a similar question in another thread, but to recap...no I likely would never dye mine.

A few years back I first noticed gray hairs in my goatee during a time when I grew it out. While I currently am clean shaven, but if I was to stop shaving, it would now be at the point where it's salt & pepper and thus pretty noticeable. I can only assume my head hair would follow a similar pattern, but since I keep it almost military short, it is hard for me to see any gray, let alone anyone else. I have noticed a few strands populating the floor during a haircut, so keeping it that length is obviously helping to hide it.

Personally even if it was more noticeable I think it is a mark of distinction and an indicator of a life lived. I don't think it should be something a man should be ashamed of or try to hide and doing so indicates vanity or refusing to accept aging more than anything else. To be fair, I feel the same way about women, even though I know such matters bothers them more. I have long tried to convince my wife that her gray is sexy to me and she should look at it as every last strand having been earned for overcoming stresses and adversities. Of course that line of thinking rarely works...but I try .

I started greying in college. No dye here. When my stylist suggested it many years ago, my wife and some of her friends threatened to kill me in my sleep.

I don't think less of men who dye their hair, unless it's just horribly done, then I wonder whether they see in their mirror what everyone else sees.

I asked a few of my girlfriends and they said the same, "no dye", and that they can tell when men dye their hair.

There's a whole stigma surrounding men who dye their gray hair. It's like a man should own it because if they dye it they're vain or insecure, and real men shouldn't worry about their appearance, because that is a woman's thing. Pretty double standard

That is probably because no men replied to them: "That is my f**** hair. Take care of your own life you flaccid ****." That also works to show that you are not insecure.
