This is our moment in the sun, a landmark in history for all to remember. June 3, 2008, we didn't just come to the end of an incredible political underdog story, more importantly a new one began thus shattering the mold: an African American has earned the title of presumptive nominee in a Presidential campaign. Hillary Clinton has been a strong and voracious opponent, but the bigger concern is to defeat McCain. But just as his victory is only the first act of his complete underdog story, the appointment of a black man to presidential nominee is only the first half of history in the making. Hillary Clinton is the best choice for Vice President, not only for her mass appeal, but for her tenacity in her drive to divert us off the Bush path that McCain will undoubtedly continue to push us down. So please, I ask of you, stop with the slander and insults and instead celebrate without spitting. It is not our responsibility to change their minds, but it is our responsibility to be civil and not push them further away. They need to come on their own accord, but we need them on our side to be more secure in a predicted Democratic victory. So let's celebrate amongst ourselves and let them join the party as they will. This can be the start of a great victory for all of us. Dance on, my friends, but please not on the graves.
