Damn only 3 weeks to go
In case no one's told you, you've only got three weeks left to study before you take the ASVAB, they will not let you retake the test.
Here's a link that shows you what jobs you can get according to how you score.
ASVAB and Marine Corps Jobs
There's practice tests and a study guide, whatever you do don't trust your recruiter 100%.
ASVAB Tips & Strategies: General Study Tips
The recruiter will tell you anything you want to hear just to make his quotta.
Trust me when I say you'll want to use the experience and knowledge learned as a stepping stone to carry you into your future.

I took the ASVAB over a year ago and the test scores are good for 2 years. I scored a 94 so I'm more than ok. You have to take the ASVAB before you can even swear in to the delayed entry program.

Also the test is not the sole factor that decides your job. Physical aspects such as height, weight, sight, and reflexes play a larger role and certain aspects can be waived.

fyi

just as a lil side note
NZ has an age limit of going into the Territorials (part time Army)
age limit of 30 (i think)
anyway, i was about 29, and with an intake of 43 persons, many being around there mid 20s, most under 20 actually, i managed to equal or surpass many of these youngers, they were just not fit at all
i went in primarily for the Fitness aspect and to learn everything medical

BEST of luck.

Cool, I didn't realize you were in the delayed program or how that worked. I do know that if you just show up to swear in they pop the ASVAB right then and there before you do and they will not let you take it over.
Good luck, it sounds like you've done your homework.
Just in case, a heads up, no matter what don't smoke a cig. in boot camp, even if someone offers you one.
Always remember, everything you do in basic is written down, everything.
And yes it's written in stone.

And you are allowed to retake the test once. My friend has taken it twice so have numerous others in my RSS

Drill Instructor Sgt. Barbour says you'll be quarter-decked if you don't post pics and tell the story of your boot camp experience.
