Well, you could say that about a lot of pseudo-holidays: Valentine's Day, Halloween, Arbor Day, etc. They're all equally kinda pointless, but they're fun and enjoyable, so why not celebrate them?
Also, having a day specifically for weed offers opportunities for people to make political statements about the legalization of marijuana. Gathering large crows to get high in front of government buildings isn't only for the sake of sticking it to the man (granted, I'm sure that's why a large portion of people go).
Anyway, don't like it, don't celebrate it, but let other people have their fun :wink:.
