I think Bill Maher said it all best the past 2 weeks. Think of him what you will, and I'll likely agree to a point, he just spoke about how the dangerous mix of religious 'morality' being a basis for a lot of decisions perched near the seat of power has impeded the advancement of the culture with relation to the rest of us in the world. The cock blocking of science in America has to stop as that's where a lot of intelectual properties and trademark opportunities will/do exist. It's just time to put aside anything other than fact at this point with America. The rest of the world generally has had this new 'enlightenment' or neccesity roll in already. Be it stemcells, or gay marriage or the dreaded tastes of 'Canadian style socialism'. You guys really need to eat your peas. Now more than ever...don't you guys get that the stakes are too high?

If any of the gay rumors are true, I would hope that the news would leak after he wins the Republican Nomination (because background sources are all starting to point to him) and receives all that glorious conservative funding.
