Sorry, I couldn't resist. I lived in Texas for about 8 months for work and they deep-fried everything (candy bars, pickles, Oreos, Twinkies, etc) so I could very well imagine deep-frying a form of Texas-style execution. Yee-haw!

His lawyers are appealing, and it will drag on for years before there's a final decision and he actually serves any time. If he serves time, which I think is highly doubtful, it will almost certainly be in one of those 'country club' low security federal prisons. Meanwhile, Tom is free on $20K bond and blaming "the Liberals" for his conviction.

I think politicians who do stuff like this should be given the harshest possible sentence. When one has great responsibility, much is expected of them.
