The general perception (and everyone has seen it, I think), is that he hung and hung HUGE. Not just above average, not just large, but HUGE.

It all goes back to the relation between length and thickness and how a long thin one doesn't look as large as a medium length thick one. Plus, I always tend to compare pics I see online to my own, and well, rarely do they ever measure up to my "standards". Only amongst other LPSG'ers would I ever be given a run for my money. ;D

Donk: When I saw the videos, I estimated Tommy's penis at around 8". Big, but certainly not the monster it was hyped up to be. Like other posters, I kept hearing people talk about it like it was a foot long. It's really amusing to hear how most people perceive a slightly larger than average dick as being humongous. If they think Tommy's is a foot, they would probably think mine was a yard if they saw it in a video!

I can't speak for the other posters, but in my circle Tommy Lee's penis is not a current topic of discussion. But 5 years ago--or whenever it was that the videos came out--it was a common subject both in conversation and on TV shows like The Tonight Show, Sat. Night Live, etc. But I'm with you in that it's not something I hear about very often any more.
