I thought about the triviality of posting this, but realized I didn't care.

So anyhow, how do you all feel about tongue piercings?

They really don't do it for me. For me, I feel like they get in the way when you're kissing someone (it only takes one chipped tooth), and that whatever little fellatio bonus they're fabled to give is bunk.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE piercings. They get my attention. But I'd take a tongue au natural any day over one sporting hardware.

Just my take on it. Let the whipping ensue!

There is no rule about starting threads about trivial subjects. If there were, I would have been banned weeks ago.

I don't have a preference, provided it's tastefully done. (excuse the pun)

I used to have a tongue piercing. I say anone who has yet to discover the bonuses associated, has yet to discover a woman who knew how to make proper use of it as a tool. Much like having a bigger dick won't automatically make someone a beter lover, having a pierced tongue won't automatically transform a woman into a better fellator. My take.

I hate piercings even more than I hate tatoos. Turn-off city.

The first time I see an inappropriately mutilated body part, I think, well shit, that's stupid, but at least it's different.

The second time I see the same thing, it's no longer new. But it's still stupid.

I had had great fellatio from a woman who had a tongue piercing.

    I'm not into body piercings.

To me they are a passing fad.

I've already met people who regretted
    the other fad...tattoos...and have gone
to the expense of trying to get them
    laser-removed.

Neither fad nor stupid, beautiful body modification has been in existence for as long as humans.

I should add, that the only reason I removed mine, was becasue I was on an impromptu vacation with a guy I was dating with the wrong kind of jewelry in for fellatio. Having been pierced for 5 years at that point, my hole was intact when I got home. However, I forgot that there was no jewelry in, and soon after, it closed.

I have some experience with this, from both sides. some of it is in line with Ms. Bronx
mine was pierced for many years, through a few partners. they all loved it, however, I had (and still do) great oral skills before that. adding it was just icing on the cake, or pie, so to speak.

however, one of my long term ex's had one too. she had some trouble performing on me with it in. this was due to her having a bit of a smaller mouth, and me being thicker than average. there just wasnt enough room in there for tounge, jewelry, and cock for her to be very active at it. she could do some, but if we really wanted a good oral session, we learned that it was better for her to take it out.

I have had others who had one as well, but there were much less issues. I guess their oral cavities were larger.

again, just some of my experience.

piercings are a complete turn-off. i'm nearly of the same opinion with tatoos, save i have a higher tolerance for them [tatoos] depending on what they depict and where they are located on one's body.

How about if I bend you over and tattoo my name on your ass?

I've said before on other threads, I love an original and innovative piece of tattooing, piercing, or other body art. But 90+% of it is a turn-off to me, as it's dumb, generic sameness. When it's good though.. it has a major effect on me. ... this is purely an aesthetic-based judgment, I should add.

Yes people have been doing it for
a long time but as Alex points out
    it's basically cookie-cutter now.

Every one and his brother is indulging
because it is the lastest trend.

To me most of these people are sheep.

NO...I am not calling you a sheep, Bronxy.

That would be baaaaaaaaad. (Teasing)

i can't even tell how long i've been waiting for that!!! please do it, so the whole world will finally know you're my pimp-daddy!

excluding the piercing(s) you mentioned, these are my exact sentiments. when i see a tatoo on a person's body, the first think i look for is originality ... nothing worse than seeing different people with the same or similiar tattoo(s). as with most things, it makes the whole experience (tattooing) a tawdry one.

When I get to a certain point in my martial arts training, I will get the tattoos associated with my first animal.

I taqke Kung Fu. Really, I just started, and I know nothing other than how to poorly execute twelve basic stances (4 poorly, 8 miserably) and count to ten in chinese. I also have learned a little about using chi to get through a night of rough training. Sifu (mandarin for father, in this context, it means teacher) asks us if Kung Fu is pretty. Kung Fu is extraordinarily challenging. I have never done anything harder than any single one of my 90 minute training sessions or classes. I'm not kidding. I was honored a few weeks ago to be asked to purchase a uniform. This is my official welcome to the school. I worked really hard to get to that point. I'm family now. When I am getting ready to test for my first black belt, (years from now) Sifu will ask me what animal I wish to focus on. The animal I'll chose represents a specific discipline of Kung Fu. The implication is I will master that discipline, earning more respect, and more belts, and a lot of knowledge. The further implication is that I will always focus on that animal, even after I have a mastery of it, and have begun to spend time on a new discipline. Since it was the first, I'll have had the most time with it, be best at it. Each animal has a traditional tattoo associated with it. They are beautiful. It is disrespectful to get this tattoo without having the training first. You must earn the tattoo. I want to earn a tattoo.

One of the reasons for piercing your most sensitive areas is that the metal provides novel sensations as the wearer moves.

I can understand it for nipples, tongues, genitaia, even your ears (apparently, the skin on the neck behind your ear is incredibly sensitive, and a jeweller will often touch a gemstone behind his ear to see if it's been polished smooth). I'm a bit perplexed by the eyebrows and belly buttons, though, apart from aesthetic reasons

As well, pierced tongues and genitalia stimulate the sig other in new and splendid ways--I have heard many women speak in praise of the Prince Albert.

Actually, I'm thinking pf piercing something as a relatively cheap mid-life crisis. I fancy a PA, but I'm already messy enough in the men's room. And I have a foreskin.

I doubt that I should pierce my tongue, since the dentist has just recommended some pricey crown and bridgework.

And I go through airports often. I think Ericbear wrote that he rather enjoyed the attention from airport security as they discover metal in odd spots, but I fear it would embarass any colleagues I travel with. Any advice from the LPSG bodymod community?
