I have the feeling thst over the last years more and more people come out with a lot of feticisms.
Especially when dating via gay app (Grindr, Romeo etc) after a few messages the topic is: do you like smelly cock/body/feet and so on.
I am struggling to date guys recently, also because of this. When a guy starts to ask, and make clear he likes "mansmell" I lost interest.

Personally, I don't have this kind of fetish. Perhaps I am boring, but I just enjoy some good, even hard, sex with guys that regularly use soap and take a shower before a date.

Am I the only one?
What do you think of the spreading of this presumed love for dirtyness????

I personally like the natural scent of a man when is still fresh. Let me explain. There's a thin line between the sexy musky scent of a man, especially around his genitalia, armpits, torso as well, and stinky body odor. I think it all depends on the man's own body chemistry, how long has it passed since his last bath, weather/climate, and overall personal hygiene of a person. There are guys whose natural body scent is amazing, musky but subtle, and arousing, others not so much. I find that the natural scent is sexier than just soap or cologne scent, but if I have to take the risk of getting with someone who stinks like he hasn't showered in a few days and his crotch stench is awful, I prefer the fresh clean scent of soap.

I'm not a very sensitive guy to smells. I mean, I have a particularly bad sense of smell but I completely agree with JayPR. Some odors are to be distinguished from the stench.

However, I know some guys (particularly on dating apps) are really pushy about it, and it is particularly boring. It's one thing to tell the other that you like his smell, it's another thing to ask for his socks worn for 3 weeks. :triumph:

I'm pretty much the same as you - seeing anything that refers to man smell/ stink immediately makes me think of them being unwashed and rank. I'm enormously smell sensitive so, if you smell even a little stale its gonna be a huge turn off.

Having said that - I don't mind a fresh natural non- stale smelling guy but wouldn't risk it on a casual encounter if they list man smell on their profile simply because the range within what that could mean.

Was at Wet last weekend late arvo to early evening. Was having a blast when later in my visit a huge (tall, broad, little overweight but fine with it) kinda bloke appeared. He wasn't super hot but had a look that I would have gone for but - man he stank .. like just walking near to him he gave off this ridiculously strong almost indescribable odour that lingered in every room he visited. I'm thinking, there are literally showers everywhere, but I feel this smell was actually something that was oozing out of him rather than something that could have been remedied by a wash Totally put me off and despite not feeling like I'd finished what I wanted out of the visit, I just had to leave the joint. The smell killed any lingering horny I had left.

I certainly like a little musk and absolutely love the smell of crotch. the pheromones where the shaft meets the scrotum drives me wild. However I'm not a whiffer of pits and I don't like it when guys whiff mine. I was with one guy who had a hairy pit fetish, he loved mine, but he'd rub his fingers in my armpits and it annoyed the hell out of me because I'm very ticklish there and don't like being tickled. He would compulsively do it no matter how many times I told him 'no'. I got close to punching him on a few occasions when he tickled me there.

Nastiness!

No thankyou. Any bad odour is an instant turn off for me.

There is a difference between hot sex man smell and funk. It's one thing to get sweaty with someone, but I want a guy to show up smelling fresh and clean. If we get sweaty and not so fresh then I'm ok with it. I don't want someone showing up smelling funky. Some of these guys just smell like they spend the night getting gang banged in a dumpster and it's fucking nasty.
