I've had one 22 yr old and one 23 yr old ask me out in the last year. I turned them both down (I'm 33). The reason I turned the 22 yr old down is because we're 3000 miles away from each other and we couldn't possibly establish a relationship like that. The other one lives with her mother and just last month was placed on "punishment". I'm a grown man - I don't deal with women who are still getting placed on "punishment" by their mothers. You have GOT to be kidding me!!!!!

blakobra is so right.
i date someone considerably younger but i'm so old they've cancelled my blood type. which means a bigger age diff like 10 years or thereabouts is no biggie. assuming maturity, wisdom et al.
just be on the watch for weird clingy drama-ridden behavior as objectively as possible and ya should be fine. not all young ones are like that of course but it's good to be aware of those who are that way.

When I was that age I dated a lot of older men. One of the first things I learned was that maturity is independent of age! Some 29 year old men had less emotional maturity than 19 year olds I dated and nothing ended a relationship faster for me than an older man who condescended to me or treated me like a little girl because I didn't act like a ditzy or stupid woman, so I didn't appreciate being treated like one. Even today I know 18 year old men who behave more maturely than 45 year old men.
You have to judge each woman and each situation independently.
