Makes sense to me. I love me some porn, and would gladly pay (and have paid) to purchase porn on dvd, to download and keep, etc. However, the prices one has to pay for porn is outrageous.
Last porn dvd I purchased: #1 was horribly overpriced #2 was crap. I bought it because it starred some of my fave stars and because it suited what I was looking for in a porno (double penetration). When I got it home, I was hard as steel, I was leaking like a faucet, and was greatly looking forward to some killer O's. Well I put the dvd in and pushed play. The quality of the video was utter shite. Everything was blurry. The vids looked like they were literally transferred from VHS to DVD. There are so many more things about that particular DVD (and every other porn I've purched) that were crap, but I digress.
I will never pay for porn again. I get a better quallity of picture and sound streaming from the net than I ever have with porn on dvds. Its 'free,' it gets me off, and if the vid I'm watching sucks ass, all I have to do is click and there are 100's of thousands of every type porn one can imagine.

I think the advent of regular people posting videos isn't helping either. Nowadays, I'm looking for more homegrown...
