We all in some form or another are guided by social expectations, not only in relation to the gay/ straight arena. However, what many won't do is let those social issues force them to not be who they are.

I can relate in a way, and some may feel that this is just as sad, but I won't necessarily show pulic displays of affection. I have to admit that it is partly because of society's view, but also because I don't always feel it's appropriate. Even when I was with women, I felt that in public was not the place for heavy petting, etc.
