For those of you that might not be familiar with it, Australian Radio Station Triple J conducts an annual music poll where you can vote for your favourite 10 songs of the year. They then count these down from around 10am - 7pm on Australia Day (Public Holiday - 26th Jan). It gets streamed around the world, and receives the most votes of any music poll in the world. It's because our government can afford to spend millions of dollars on fireworks displays rather than 'waste' that money funding schools and hospitals.
